The purpose of this study is to examine happiness according to Afif Muhammad clearly, and how to achieve happiness. This research is a qualitative research. The method used is library research and interviews. The data sources used are Primary and Secondary Data. This study concludes that according to Afif Muhammad, happiness is an inner or mental situation that a person has in which a person feels calm, peaceful and safe and can also be felt by those around him. If someone has felt happiness then he will radiate that happiness to the people around him. He divided the stages of happiness into three categories: Lay level, Intermediate level, and Supreme Level. This division is not meant to distinguish the form of happiness but so that we can measure our level of happiness at which level. As for the factors that we must have to achieve happiness, namely: by having an honest nature and not hating anyone so that our lives become calm and can achieve true happiness.

It is natural for human beings to pursue happiness, but there are some uncertainties about the nature of happiness and how we can obtain real happiness. Important views and opinions suggested by many ideologists in the history of thoughts are still of great values for our pursuit of happiness. The needs of humans or the nature of humans are the philosophical basis of the confirmation of happiness, which has determined the developmental path of human needs to be the developmental path of human happiness.

This paper discusses happiness based on Aristotle's reasonable ethics theory. Aristotle believes happiness is to be reasonable,to face up to and move beyond misery,to enjoy the necessary and appropriate happiness, but not to addict with it. It is necessary to restrict one's desires appropriately and make it the driving force for one's life. A reasonable view of happiness is of significance for man's pain, happiness and desire.

HLA-B-associated transcript 3 (BAT3) was originally identified as one of the genes located within human major histocompatibility complex. It encodes a large proline-rich protein with unknown function. In this study, we found that a fragment of the BAT3 gene product interacts with a candidate tumor suppressor, DAN, in the yeast-based two-hybrid system. We cloned the full-length rat BAT3 cDNA from a fibroblast 3Y1 cDNA library. Our sequence analysis has demonstrated that rat BAT3 cDNA is 3617 nucleotides in length and encodes a full-length BAT3 (1098 amino acids) with an estimated molecular mass of 114,801 daltons, which displays an 87.4% identity with human BAT3. The deletion experiment revealed that the N-terminal region (amino acid residues 1-80) of DAN was required for the interaction with BAT3. Green fluorescent protein-tagged BAT3 was largely localized in the cytoplasm of COS cells. Northern hybridization showed that BAT3 mRNA was expressed in all the adult rat tissues examined but predominantly in testis. In addition, the level of BAT3 mRNA expression was more downregulated in some of the transformed cells, including v-mos- and v-Ha-ras-transformed 3Y1 cells, than in the parental cells.

This thesis is a study of Melville's liardi through the analysis on Taji's search for happiness through place settings. The writer intends to show how Taji searches for happiness through place settings and what kind of happiness he is searching for. In order to achieve her purpose, the writer uses literary approach, in this case, she uses two devices namely setting and character. In searching for happiness, Taji moves from one place to the other places. The first search is done in the old Arcturion, however the condition on that ship makes him feel dissatisfied. Therefore, he moves to Parki, Yet, the condition on the ship also makes him fail to find satisfaction. Then, he comes to the canoe and he finds Yillah there who gives him inner happiness, Un f o r tun a te1y, w hen he visits 0do, he 1oses Yillah, After a vain search for Yillah in Odo, he moves to Vivenza where he thinks he can find happiness there, In spite of finding happiness, he faces slavery which shows it is impossible to find happiness in Yivenza. At last, he comes to a perfect place, Serenia, The condition in Serenia promises happiness because people in Serenia live in happiness,, However, Taji still does not find his happiness in Serenia, It means that happiness which can be given by Serenians is not the happiness that Taji wants to possess. In other words, Taji's happiness is the happiness which is given by Yillah only. The happi ness which can satisfy his inner self and find his meaning of life. He does not feel happy before he finds Yillah. That is why, the fact shows that he still does search in the open sea.
