    Abstract:
Virtual Reality (VR) technologies have the potential to improve online education for students. This paper reports on a course on the topic of virtual reality using VR technologies and Mozilla Hubs. Findings from student questionnaire responses suggest that students appreciated the unique educational experience of learning about VR in VR and felt more present in VR when compared to other online learning experiences. However, it was noted that using a VR headset made it difficult to take notes and became uncomfortable for some students after long periods of time.

With tremendous research, innovation in human computer interaction, infographics and greater accessibility of visualization technologies i.e., augmented reality; virtual reality and mixed reality is to find new possibilities for its applications. The ability to transform the user's perception and interaction with his environment has increased his popularity of use in all spheres of life. This study analyses the literature on augmented reality, virtual reality and mixed reality applications in order to find the research gaps in these fields. This review study has taken 103 papers of 2010-2021 into account from SCOPUS, SCI and IEEE databases. The results of the analysis can provide some useful insights regarding potential and use of augmented reality, virtual reality and mixed reality in the different areas of application.

Virtual Reality (VR) is a computer-generated environment that allows the user to interact with the environment virtually. It provides visualization to feel the virtual environment similar to the real world. Augmented reality, virtual reality, and mixed reality are commonly used in extended reality. Virtual reality is completely based on technology, it acts as an intermediator between humans and the real world. There are various input and output devices that are used for generating a virtual reality environment. VR techniques are currently used in numerous fields like education, entertainment, gaming. Primarily, the paper has elaborated on Virtual Reality with its significance. The importance and need for virtual reality are conferred with its impact in the modern world. The framework of Virtual Reality and the steps leading to its development over the years has been elaborated. Various tools and techniques used in VR, the applications of VR in the current world and the implication of VR for the future are emphasized.

When establishing a visual connection between a virtual reality user and an augmented reality user, it is important to consider whether the augmented reality user faces a surplus of information. Augmented reality, compared to virtual reality, involves two, not one, planes of information: the physical and the virtual. We propose SelectVisAR, a selective visualisation system of virtual environments in augmented reality. Our system enables an augmented reality spectator to perceive a co-located virtual reality user in the context of four distinct visualisation conditions: Interactive, Proximity, Everything, and Dollhouse. We explore an additional two conditions, Context and Spotlight, in a follow-up study. Our design uses a human-centric approach to information filtering, selectively visualising only parts of the virtual environment related to the interactive possibilities of a virtual reality user. The research investigates how selective visualisations can be helpful or trivial for the augmented reality user when observing a virtual reality user.

Imagine that you're chatting with a good friend who tells you about her new cashmere pullover, and that you're able to touch it and appreciate the soft sensation of the cashmere wool - remotely over the Web in your virtual chatroom! In this article, the authors present their work on haptic sensing of virtual textiles. This is work done in the context of the Haptex research project that aims at integrating the human sense of touch into multimodal user interfaces. Being able to support haptic perception in the user interface will be a great step toward next-generation immersive multimedia experiences

As the widespread application of virtual reality, the home improvement industry has gradually applied this technology to promote house interior decoration. Virtual reality can help consumers experience the design of immersion room in advance and avoid money-consuming. In the paper, we research an immersive interior decoration system with HTC Vive headset to meet the demands of various consumers. A menu layout and three attractive room styles are designed for an excellent visual experience. Furthermore, the using method of handle controllers is created to support effective human-computer interaction. In the end, the feedback of the users demonstrate that our system is user-friendly both in visual and interaction.
