A new genus and species of leaf miner (Lepidoptera, Gracillariidae) for Chile associated to the native tree Lithraea caustica. We propose the new genus and species of Gracillariidae (Lepidoptera) Hualpenia lithraeophaga Mundaca, Parra &Vargas gen. nov., sp. nov., leaf miner of Lithraea caustica (Mol.) H. et Arn (Anacardiaceae) occurring in southern central Chile. Aspects of the life cycle, adult and larval morphology, development and feeding habits of the new genus and species are also presented. We emphasise the uniqueness and importance of this new species for broadening the current knowledge on the Chilean fauna of Gracillariidae.

Fieldwork in the Ozark Mountains of the central United States by GRG over the last decade involving the American smoketree, Cotinus obovatus Raf. (Anacardiaceae), has resulted in the discovery of a previously unknown moth species belonging to the genus Cameraria (Lepidoptera: Gracillariidae). The larva of this species mines the leaf mesophyll of this tree, creating serpentine mines most visible from the upper (adaxial) surface of the leaf. The most closely related species to Cameraria cotinivora, n. sp. is Cameraria guttifinitella (Clemens), a common leafminer of poison ivy, Toxicodendron radicans (L.) Kuntze (Anacardiaceae). Illustrations of both species are provided as well as a COI analysis of their genetic relationship.

Abstract Five species of Gracillariidae are recorded as new to Korea: Calybites securinella (Ermolaev, 1986), Epicephala relictella Kuznetzov, 1979, Parornix alni Kumata, 1965, P. betulae Stainton, 1854, and Spulerina castaneae Kumata & Kuroko, 1988. Epicephala is reported for the first time in Korea. Photographs of adults and genitalia are provided with a brief description of each species and a list of host plants.

Lime leafminer, Phyllonorycter issikii (Kumata, 1963), one of the few invasive species of the family Gracillariidae (Lepidoptera), is characterized. Information about the description and origin of the species is given, as well as the possible ways of its spreading across Asia and Europe. Characteristics of imago prematural stages and some additional data about its bionomics are presented. All known food plants are listed. Possible factors affecting population of P. issikii are given.

A sixth species of Macrosaccus (Gracillariidae), M. coursetiae sp. nov., is described. The larvae are leafminers of Coursetia glandulosa (Fabaceae). The parasitoid Chrysocharis walleyi (Eulophidae) has been reared from the leaf mines; a table summarizing the host records for this wasp is presented.
