    Abstract:
    Abstract Animal gut is a dynamic ecosystem, and there are many factors affecting the structure of intestinal flora and the diversity of intestinal microbes, among which food differences are the direct causes. To investigate the effect of food composition on the intestinal flora structure of mandarin duck during the reproductive period, 9 feces were collected from 2 foraging sites of Shiqian Mandarin Duck Lake National Wetland Park, Guizhou, China. We analyzed the chloroplast rbcL gene, mitochondrial COI gene and 16S rRNA gene from the total DNA of the feces in detail to know the plants and animals in food compositions and intestinal bacteria of mandarin duck by high-throughput sequencing technology. We found that the gut microbiota composition were significantly correlated with the number of feeding species, the mandarin duck with a wide variety of feeding food had the more complex gut flora with more probiotics and less pathogenic bacterium. This study provides further theoretical support for food difference to affect the changes of intestinal bacterial structure of host, and provides scientific basis for understanding the feeding preference of mandarin duck at breeding area.

    The composition and basic characters of Pingyuan Flora in Guangdong are reported. The flora is rich in plant species, numbering up to 182 families, 589 genera and 1154 species of wild vascular plants, many of which are ancient, rare and endangered plants. The geogrophic elements of the flora are complex, and the tropic-subtropic element is dominant. The flora is part of the Palaetropic Flora.

    The spermatophyte flora of Wuzhishan area consists of 1 882 species,821 genera and 177 families. Analysis of the floristic composition and the geographical elements shows that the flora has the following characteristics: it is an important component of Hainan Island flora and predominated by tropical elements,especially the tropical Asia one occupied 26.78% of total number of genera and pan-tropical one occupied 26.40% of total number of genera. And the comparison of this flora and other 6 floras indicate that the flora of Wuzhishan has a tight connection with the flora of continent. Meanwhile many of the Cathaysian floristic elements can be found in the Wuzhishan's flora,which proves that this flora is undoubtedly one of an important part of the Cathaysian flora in nature.

    Based on the floristic statistics and analyses, the author revealed the basic nature of Qinhuangdao flora and the main results and conclusions as follows: Qinhuangdao was the rich region in flora with about 1093 specieswild seed plants, belonging to 122 families and 51 genera. It was chiefly temperate in nature and had a certain transitional nature with tropical and subtropical flora. There were few endemic elements: 8 Chinese endemic genera. The geographical connection, source and development of the flora were also discussed.

    The work deals with the structural features of the local floras disturbed ecotopes as integral components of a higher rank flora. In this study, the local flora is disturbed ecotope, as a collection of species growing in a certain area, the degree of responsiveness to anthropogenic impacts structurally divided into elementary components, the selection of which is based on ecological and botanical features of the plants composing them. Since the three components were identified: locally depressed flora (localdepressive flora) lokalconstant flora (localconstantis flora), loсalplastic flora (localvariabilis flora) and loсalnokosmopolit flora (locallatos flora). All components are connected to each other and regularly rebuilt during changing environmental conditions when moving from one climate zone to another, as well as changes in the nature and degree of exposure. Depressive flora experiencing declining trend in the number of individuals or the complete disappearance under the influence of anthropogenic impact, constant flora, usually consists of a species capable of operating with a significant manifestation anthropogenic factor to maintain their characteristic features of growth; Plastic flora is represented by the largest number of species able to expand its range in the conditions of anthropogenic stress; cosmopolitan flora species is represented, actively propagating in the conditions of natural phytocenosis and under anthropogenic loads. Quantitatively cosmopolitans may exceed the plastic flora, but only on the number of individuals, but not the species.

    There are many ways to compile a Flora. The Flora of Turkey is a remarkable 10-volume work completed within a quarter-century of its inception. A review of the factors contributing to the Flora's success is provided. The Flora of Turkey is a classical Flora with an additional supplement recently produced by Turkish botanists. Flora Hellenica is another example of a classical Flora. Some aspects of its background and production are briefly mentioned. Conservationists consider the endemic flora of a country needs protection for all time, and an opportunity arose to prepare a three-volume work on the endemic flora of Greece. The first volume, covering the Peloponnese, was published in September 2001. Flora contributions and monographic work both have their uses. An unconventional model of Flora-writing is presented after the revision of a large family of plants, the Brassicaceae. The latter is a wide and diverse group, several members of which are of great economic importance. Biodiversity in the family is unquestionably demonstrated, together with comments on relationships. In summary, a good Flora survives long after the flora has gone.

    In the first decades of its existence the interest of the Rijksherbarium was certainly not directed towards the study of the Dutch and European flora. The initiative to embark on research of the flora of the Netherlands was born outside the walls of the institute. In 1845, R. B. van den Bosch initiated — elsewhere in Leiden! — the foundation of the ‘Vereeniging voor de Nederlandsche Flora’ (Society for the Netherlands Flora), later the ‘Nederlandsche Botanische Vereeniging’ (N.B.V.), to promote the knowledge of the flora and encourage the collection of plants for a ‘Vereenigingsherbarium’. This herbarium would house the main research materials for the composition of a flora of the Netherlands, which was the original target of the N.B.V. The N.B.V. was to play a dominant role in the study of the Dutch flora. During the 150 years of its existence, the Rijksherbarium contributed significantly to studies of the Dutch and European flora in only three periods marked by the activities of, respectively, Suringar, Goethart (and Jongmans), and Van Ooststroom (and Reichgelt). Moreover it must be remembered that these botanists were also involved in other studies during their employment at the Rijksherbarium.
