    Abstract:
Motor load accounts for more than 50% of the total electric power load in China. Identifying the load of induction motors non-intrusively is of great importance for the design of energy-saving schemes and formulation of demand-side response strategies in industrial enterprises. Based on the transient mechanism of the induction motor, the present work first defines some motor load start-up transient feature parameters with clear physical meanings and proposes a set of non-intrusive motor load identification methods applicable to industrial settings. In addition, a case study that applied the proposed method to the industrial setting was performed to verify its effectiveness. The results showed that the proposed method can overcome the problem of misidentification caused by the fact that the start-up transient process is affected by its mechanical load characteristics and hence can identify motors with similar running power and has good anti-interference capacity despite power quality disturbances.

The efficiency of an single phase induction motor can reduce due to the age of the motor. Therefore, the old induction motor have a less efficiency compare to the new ones. Some methods can be apply to increase the efficiency of the old induction motor. In this research, one of the methods is applied in the small single-phase induction motor. This efficiency can be improve with reducing the losses of the induction motor. The low-power single-phase induction motors are repaired by manually rewinding. The results showed that the efficiency of low power single phase induction motors that was repaired with manually rewinding is increasing with average + 16.93% and ranges between +2.42% to +20.11%.

Considering the current status that the electro-mechanical transient simulation and electromagnetic transient simulation are independent relatively and respectively in power system, and based on the actual requirements for both electro-mechanical transient and electromagnetic transient simulations, this paper proposes a data system for the conversion between electromechanical transient and electromagnetic transient sim-ulations based on PSS/E and EMT.The system establishes a contact between electromechanical transient and electromagnetic transient simulation with data conversion. The actual application of the system in Shanghai Power Grid suggests the system can convert the electromechanical transient data into electromagnetic transient data accurately.

Abstract Based on electromechanical transient simulation data, an electromagnetic transient simulation model can be quickly generated through a computer program. However, electromechanical transient data are not sufficient to describe completely the corresponding electromagnetic transient simulation model. In view of this, the paper proposes an electromagnetic transient simulation model generation method that integrates multiple information sources. First, the data characteristics of electromechanical transient simulation software PSD-BPA and electromagnetic transient simulation software PSCAD/EMTDC are introduced. Then, considering the difference between electromechanical transient and electromagnetic transient model data, a method to quickly generate PSCAD/EMTDC simulation data is established. This method is based on the electromechanical transient simulation data, and takes into account those information which is not available in the electromechanical transient data but needed in the electromagnetic transient in the conversion process, so that the converted model is more detailed and accurate. Finally, this method is used to model and analyse an actual fault. The simulation results show that the method proposed in the paper is effective and credible.

All types of electrical machines can be modeled by an equivalent two phase machine. For example a balanced three phase induction motor can be modeled as an equivalent two phase induction motor (The dq Model). In the same way an unbalanced induction motor can be modeled as an unbalanced two phase induction motor. This paper shows this concept by modeling a faulty induction motor with one of its three feeding phases, open. Moreover the paper shows that the speed control of this faulty motor can be performed by a few modifications in the conventional vector control. This new vector control is suitable for unbalanced induction motors such as the single phase induction motor with unequal main and auxiliary windings. Computer simulation shows the good performance of the proposed method.

The model of five-phase induction motor are constructed by Matlab/Simulink based on the mathematic model of asynchronous motor in this paper。 It shows that models of five-phase induction motor and three-phase induction motor are unified in (α, β)plane. The results proved that the method is available.

The main methods to analyze the transient stability of integrated energy system (IES) are time domain simulation method and direct method. Because the physical properties of different energy systems in IES are very different, and the interaction between different energy systems is very complex, the time domain simulation method is difficult to apply. The direct method can be used to analyze system stability based on transient energy, and the calculation method of transient energy is its core. Based on this, this article proposes a transient energy calculation method for IES, first, this article analyzes the energy conversion process of the IES and puts forward the corresponding transient energy calculation method; second, in order to verify the correctness of the transient energy calculation method, the time domain simulation model of the IES is established; Finally, a transient energy suppression method is proposed. Three simulation cases are designed, and the simulation results show the accuracy of the transient energy calculation method and the effectiveness of the suppression measure.

Often, the efficiencies of electrical motors determine the overall costs, i.e., the production and operating costs of a drive. Those costs are defined and discussed with an asynchronous motor as an example. The various possibilities of improving the efficiency of three-phase induction motors are discussed influences on and improvements of the sample motor are given in numerical values. In addition to the raw material, different production techniques and the requirements of drive engineering are considered. Variable-speed induction motors are examined and suitable improvements are suggested. Single-phase induction motors are discussed.
