Abstract:
To investigate the level and significance of serum γ-glutamyl transferase-to-platelet ratio (GPR) and monocyte count to high-density lipoprotein ratio (MHR) in patients with essential hypertension (EH) and unstable angina (UA).Keywords:

Lipid Profile
An association has been established between lipid metabolism, clinical course and immediate prognosis of unstable angina. It has been shown that the low level of the main protein of high density lipoproteins Apo-I in unstable stenocardia is prognostically unfavourable criterion for the development of acute myocardial infarction.

Objective To investigate the distribution of the polymorphism of CYPIIB2 gene in essential hypertension(EH) pedigree in China. Methods The blood pressure of the subjects with essential hypertension in two areas are investigated cross-sectionally since 2000,totally 600 fitable families with EH,and 800 subjects having the hypertension. Results The 3 kinds of the CYPIIB2 genotypes are classified by the genetic variation, the homozygous mutation CC,the heterozymgous CT,and the mild TT.The frequency of allele C and T account for 28.2% and 71.81%.Conclusion CYPIIB2 gene(-344T) have point mutation in the essential hypertension in China, and three genotypes(TT?TC?CC).

Objective To determine the correlations between predictive capability of conventional inflammatory marker white blood cell(WBC) count, and procalcitonin(PCT) with elevated levels of septic patients.Method Sixty-four patients were enrolled in the study.Serum concent rations of PCT,IL-6 were determined in 24 hours after clinical onset of sepsis or systemic inflammatory response syndrome.WBC count was also recorded. Results PCT was significantly correlated with serum IL-6 levels. The predictive capability was higher for PCT than WBC count. Conclusion Compared with white blood cell count,PCT may reflect the elevated levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines more reliably.

Objective To explore the change of cardiac chronotropic in patients with essential hypertension(EH) and EH complicated with diabetes mellitus(DM).Methods Study included 50 cases of EH、 40 cases of EH complicated with DM and 50 healthy people.Every case completed exercise treadmill tests and was detected the index of heart rate chronotropic response(CI).Results CI of EH group and EH complicated with DM group was significantly higher than that of control group(P0.05),and CI of EH complicated with DM group was markedly higher than that of EH group(P0.05).Conclusions The patients with EH and EH complicated with DM had different degree of damnification of autonomic nerve activity, heart rate chronotropic response could reflect the function of autonomic nerve.

The clinical entity of benign essential hypertension is often subdivided into labile essential hypertension and stable essential hypertension. To establish less arbitrary limits between normotension and labile and stable benign essential hypertension, 70 subjects (56 with benign essential hypertension) were classified according to (a) the usual blood pressure index for each subject and (b) the upper limit of variation of the usual blood pressure indexes of a normotensive population. Catecholamines, plasma renin activity, and urinary creatinine, sodium, and potassium were measured in recumbent subjects who had received a controlled-sodium diet. Our findings suggest that (1) benign essential hypertension represents a heterogeneous entity and a continuous spectrum of clinical and biochemical changes when it is related to the level of blood pressure, (2) adrenergic involvement is more evident in labile hypertension, (3) regardless of the urinary excretion of catecholamines in subjects with benign essential hypertension the urinary ratio of dopamine to norepinephrine always remains lower, and (4) a negative correlation exists between urinary sodium excretion and usual blood pressure indexes.
