We present a new 4-key text entry method that, unlike most few-key methods, is gestural instead of selection-based. Importantly, its gestures mimic the writing of Roman letters for high learnability. We compare this new 4-key method to predominant 3-key and 5-key methods theoretically using KSPC and empirically using a longitudinal study of 5 subjects over 10 sessions. The study includes an evaluation of the 4-key method without any on-screen visualization-an impossible condition for the selection-based methods. Our results show that the new 4-key method is quickly learned, becoming faster than the 3-key and 5-key methods after just ~10 minutes of writing, although it produces more errors. Interestingly, removing a visualization of the gestures being made causes no detriment to the 4-key method, which is an advantage for eyes-free text entry.

Construction of a real estate project is close to one side of the metro station which has finished main structure building. The diagram of the metro station is used as supporting during the excavation of the pit of the real estate project, which will result in the one side unloading of the metro station. Bearing the unbalanced soil pressure, the metro station will have additional deformation and internal force. During the pit design, the additional deformation and internal force is analyzed for every step of the excavation. And the additional force is superimposed with the original force of the metro station to calculate the final internal force of the metro station. By adjusting the design parameters of the pit, the safety of the metro station is evaluated.

The analysis of key elements is the premise for developing key strategy. Based on the theory and method of Extenics, the paper establishes the analytical method for key matter, key characteristics and key measure. And then through the application of a case in economy, the basic procedure for developing key strategy are demonstrated by the analytical method of key elements.

The proposed Binjiang station is a metro station for Line 1 in Hangzhou. Because of the change of planning for metro lines, the station is used as a crossing interchange metro station for Line 1 and Line 6. Due to the adjustment, Line 6 will pass below Line 1, which leads to an unusual foundation pit with am irregular shape and a varying excavation depth. Owing to the peculiarity and complexity of this project, the numerical software ABAQUS is utilized to study the behaviors of the foundation pit and some useful conclusions are obtained.

Bike-and-ride favors the development of urban transportation in our country. Combined with experience both at home and abroad, this paper mainly concluded the principle of locating in the basis of analysis of the factor of the bicycle-metro, and predicted the demand of bicycle-metro, thus providing reference for the programming of the parking. Moreover, attentions must be paid to the construction of relevant facility, in order to improve the attractive of bicycle-metro.
