Abstract:
Using time-harmonic analysis, a method to identify load-dependent parameters of the induction motor (IM) equivalent circuit considering iron-loss is presented. Time-harmonic analysis is generally used for IM analysis due to its fast speed. However, iron-loss caused by harmonics cannot be calculated, since it regards that all parameters are sinusoidal. Thus, time-transient analysis is used to consider harmonics in general. A complete period of rotor flux density is needed for iron-loss calculation, and is inversely proportional to slip. Since IM is operated under very low slip condition, it takes immoderate time. Accordingly, novel analysis method for flux density harmonics for calculation of iron-loss. Based on the nature that result of time-harmonic analysis is in the form of complex number, method, which enables harmonics analysis with very short analysis range, is presented. Finally, the impact of considering iron-loss to equivalent circuit is investigated to demonstrate the accuracy improvement. Keywords:

This paper is to present the harmonic phenomenon. The Fourier series is the tool for harmonic analysis in order to interpret waveforms behavior due to nonlinear loads is carried out. Some harmonics measurements for nonlinear loads are also observed. The harmonics theory, definition of harmonic quantities, related harmonics problems in power distribution systems are explained. Also, filter applications such as passive filter in overcoming harmonic problems are discussed. This paper also investigate the recent developments for active power filter uses power electronic switching to generate harmonic currents that cancel the harmonic currents from a nonlinear load is then described.

Harmonics in a power system caused by highly nonlinear devices degrade its performance. Controlling and reducing such harmonics have been a major concern of power engineers for many years. The power system harmonic analysis is the process of calculating the magnitudes and phases of the fundamental and higher order harmonics of system signals. The frequency domain solution method is one of the major mathematical approaches for such analysis. The paper discusses the frequency domain solution method in the power system harmonic analysis. It identifies harmonic sources and their effects on power system operation. It also discusses computer applications of such method.

The induction motor is currently becoming the key element of most industrial equipment. Despite these advantages, a certain number of constraints of very different natures can affect the lifetime of this machine, causing considerable economic losses. This work is the study experimental of defects for an asynchronous machine (with and without defect). After having described the main defects that can occur on these. In this study, we propose a method called induction machines diagnosis by the time's harmonics. This technique is based to study the influence of a defect of short-circuiting on the studied induction motor, we will find the rank of the harmonic of the most influenced by the number of the rank default. this study will find the diagnostic index of induction motor with stator default using the time harmonics. The results obtained show that the 3rd order time-harmonic is very sensitive compared to the other harmonics.

A method for analysis of signals containing harmonics and inter-harmonics is presented and discussed. This method is primarily developed for analysis of power system signals which contain harmonic and inter-harmonic components. However, usefulness of the proposed technique goes beyond the area of power systems and it can be employed for other applications which require accurate and adaptive extraction of unknown frequency components of a periodic signal in noisy environment. Novel structure of the proposed technique allows accurate estimation of weak components buried in noise and in the presence of large artifacts which may be located close to each other in the frequency spectrum.

When using the method of rotating high-frequency voltage injection to estimate the rotor position of Surface-Mounted Permanent-Magnet Machine(SMPMM),the negative current harmonics, which resulted from the asymmetry of the distribution of high-frequency inductance, will give rise to some errors to the rotor position estimation. This paper discussed this issue from both hand of theory and experiment, and primitively demonstrated the reason the negative current harmonics occurred and its effects. The measures to solve it were also presented.

Inter-harmonics are defined as the spectrum components that have frequencies between two harmonics. This letter points out that these fractional-harmonic components are not always the result of actual inter-harmonic sources. The signal sampling window size and position for Fourier analysis, as well as the time-varying characteristic of the signals, can all be factors leading to the so-called inter-harmonic components. Case studies illustrate that the inter-harmonic definition can be misleading and needs to be improved.

High Precise Harmonic Analysis Based on Auto-increase Frequency and Zeroing Spectral-Line Amplitudes
This paper describes two high precise harmonic analysis methods to find and analyze the harmonics of complex power network signals accurately and completely, the first one analyzes the harmonics by setting appropriate loop variant to make the frequency increase automatically, the second one zeroes spectral-line amplitude to analyze the harmonics. Four-item Nuttall window and triple-spectrum-line interpolation algorithm are chosen to improve the precision of two methods in this paper. The precision of the two methods under the stable fundamental frequency are studied, and the precision of the two methods under fluctuant fundamental frequency is also researched.
