    ABSTRACT Prestressed concrete system are commonly used in bridge construction because it gives stresses to reduce or eliminate the tensile stress. One of the methods to analyze prestressed concrete used in this study is the load balance method by T. Y. Lin that states the prestressed can balance external loads on the bridge span structure. The method is suitable for bridges since its construction is more complex than other building structures. The result of Sengkaling prestressed bridge is that it applied post-tensioned method using PCI profile girder as its main structure. The prestressed cable for this bridge is the uncoated 7 wire super strands ASTM 416 Grade 270 of low relaxation strand. The prestressed girder is considered as a full prestressed. The principles of the PCI girder refers to the Concrete Structure Planning for Bridge (SNI T-12-2004), the bridge load of (SNI T-02-2005). The dimension of girder is 1.70 meter long, 0.80 meter top width, and 0.70 meter bottom width, with gider span of 28.00 meter. The prestressed girder is using 80 strand (prestress force = 10281,6 kN), type VSL with strand diameter O98.72 (12,7 inch) divided to 4 tendons, each of which has 20 strands (prestress force = 2570,41 kN).

    During construction of a long span prestressed concrete continuous rigid frame bridge,a set of strain transducers are installed in its key sections for measuring the structural strains,With the help of error analysis,the stress test results of a long span prestressed concrete continuous rigid frame bridge are approximate to the actual structural stresses.It is the basis that can be used to analyze the structural stresses,modify the structural design and estimate the engineering quality.

    On the base of test of plexiglass model and the loading test of a large-span prestressed concrete bridge with rigid frame-continuous structure, differences between the bridge with rigid frame-continuous girders and continuous bridge and continuous rigid frame bridge are compared and analysed. The force characteristics and structural behaior of large-span prestressed concrete bridges with rigid frame-continuous structure are studied. It offers an important reference to the perfection for design theory and construction technology of large-span prestressed concrete bridge with rigid frame - continuous girders.

    Porous SiC ceramics with multiple pore structures were fabricated via gelcasting and solid state sintering.A novel gelling agent of Isobam was applied and PMMA was used as both foam stabilizer and pore forming agent.The mechanical properties of porous SiC ceramics were investigated as functions of PMMA content, rotating speed of ball mill, and sintering temperature.With PMMA content increasing from 5wt% to 20wt%, the foaming effect was inhibited while the stability of bubbles increased.When the rotating speed was 220 r/min, the open porosities of the as-prepared SiC ceramics sintered at 2100 varied ℃ from 51.5% to 72.8%, and compressive strength varied from 7.9 to 48.2 MPa.With the rotating speed increasing from 220 to 280 r/min, the foaming effect was aggravated and the porosities of SiC ceramics sintered at 2100 increased.℃ While the sintering temperature increasing from 2050 to 2150 , ℃ the SiC ceramics prepared with PMMA content of 20wt% at rotating speed of 220 r/min decreased in the open porosities while increased in compressive strength.

    ZrB2 based composites containing 10 vol.-% carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are synthesised by spark plasma sintering at temperatures ranging from 1600 to 18008C and at an applied pressure of 25 MPa. The effects of sintering temperature on densification behaviour, microstructural evolutions and mechanical properties are presented. Results indicate that ZrB2-CNT composites fabricated at 16508C have the optimal combination of dense microstructure and properties. The fracture toughness is sensitive to the temperature change and reaches 7.2 MPa m1/2 for the CNT toughened ZrB2 ceramics, which is higher than the measured result for monolithic ZrB2 (3.3 MPa m1/2). The crack deflection and CNT pullout are the dominant toughening mechanisms.
