Abstract:
Nanocomposite materials based on a cold-cure silicone mixture containing multi-walled carbon nanotubes were obtained. The concentration dependences of the radio-physical properties of materials were investigated. An increase in the efficiency of shielding electromagnetic radiation in the radio frequency range of wavelengths with increasing concentrations of multi-walled carbon nanotubes up to 10 wt. % was verified. Keywords:

The paper deals with the evaluation of shielding effectiveness of different types of paints, which is recommended as a shielding. There is performed an experiment on the creation of a non-professional shielding paint that could be used as a substitute for the professional shielding paints, that are commonly available on the market. The measurement is performed in the frequency range 0.9 - 6 GHz.

In high-rise commercial buildings, the concept of raised floors and metal decking is often adopted for various purposes. The shielding performance of these metal structures is of interest. The paper presents an experimental investigation into the shielding properties of raised floors, metal decking and large flat sheets applied in buildings. It is recognized that the shielding performance depends on various parameters, such as shielding material, source orientation, shield thickness, and distance from the shield. These factors should be carefully looked at when magnetic shielding is considered to mitigate background magnetic fields.

A general review of conventional magnetic shielding is presented. Several possible definitions of the term 'shielding factor' are given, taking into account the ferromagnetic nature of shielding materials. An alternative treatment of single-layer axial shielding for a cylindrical shield is presented and compared to a previous approximation. A new algorithm for calculating multi-layer axial shielding factors is derived and shown to be an improvement on existing methods when applied to some assemblies, including one reported for the first time.

A new shielding electromagnetic fabric is different from traditional shielding electromagnetic materials. Its shielding effectiveness could not be estimated exactly by traditional shielding electromagnetic theory. However, the shielding effectiveness was characterized by experimental method and depends on different radiation resources and the incidence angles of electronic waves. The difference of shielding effectiveness between in weft and in warp of fabric is obvious.
