The effects of micro-nanometer aeration on the nitrogen removal of a Thalia dealbata floating-bed was investigated by comparing the nitrogen removal of a group with three treatments of micro-nanometer aeration,a group with air blow aeration and a group without aeration(the control group).The results showed that compared with the group without aeration,the removal rates of TN and NH4+-N were increased by 13.35% and 21.72%,respectively,in the micro-nanometer aeration plant floating-bed,and increased by 5.64% and 10.61%,respectively,with the air blow aeration method.However,the high concentrations of DO formed by the micro-nanometer aeration had a negative effect on the removal of NO3——N.The removal rates of NO3——N in this group were lower than those of the air blow aeration group and the control group.By comparing the results from the micro-nanometer aeration group with those from the control group,micro-nanometer aeration was found to significantly improve the growth of plants.By the end of the experiment,the biomass in this group had increased by 65.38%,while the biomass increase in the air blow aeration group and the control were 21.05% and 63.93%,respectively.The total nitrogen uptake by the plants was also different among the treatments.The highest uptake of TN was obtained in the micro-nanometer aeration group(90.60 mg),compared to 54.84 and 63.42 mg in the air blow aeration and the control group,respectively.In conclusion,micro-nanometer aeration was the most effective way of increasing DO,changing the microenvironment of the rhizosphere,and enhancing the growth of ammonifying and nitrifying bacteria,but it retarded the growth of the denitrifying bacteria.

Short-period aeration method is to shorten aeration time effectively by reducing the number of running aeration tanks on the basis of traditional activated sludge process. The optimal working condition has been determined by short-period aeration pilot tests in Wuhan Shahu Wastewater Treatment Plant. The results of tests show that the effluents of the secondary sedimentation tanks can meet the sewage discharging standards and a lot of costs can be greatly saved.

In order to solve the problem of foundation pit dewatering,this paper explains the main functions of dewatering and discusses the common method of precipitation.Taking a deep foundation pit dewatering engineering as an example and in combination with the engineering geological and hydrogeological conditions,the paper selects a reasonable precipitation scheme to carry on the dewatering design on the basis of the explicit key points of the dewatering design,discusses the influence of deep foundation pit dewatering on the surrounding environment and discusses the corresponding treatment measures.Furthermore,opinions and suggestions for common problems of deep foundation pit dewatering engineering are put forward.

The application of the deep foundation pit dewatering engineering is an important technique to make sure of the construction safety under complex geologic conditions.Combining with the deep foundation pit dewatering projects in tipper room of Xutang in Jiangsu Province,the authors focused on the foundation pit dewatering project,obtained the dewatering volume and wells.It was concluded that the project in Xutang was accomplished with a good protecting and economical effect,providing a basis and reference for solving the dewatering problems with similar conditions.

Research purposes:The construction the Xi'an North Station was divided into the northern and southern areas and the dewatering engineering was also divided into northern and southern areas.The dewatering engineering was conducted twice separately to these two areas and the second dewatering engineering was conducted in about half year later of the first dewatering engineering.As the area of the foundation pit was large and the buried depth of the foundation was different,the dewatering was conducted in two phases according to the engineering conditions of the engineering site.The analysis and research were done on the dewatering process to know the influence of dewatering. Research conclusions:The research showed in order to make the dewatering reasonable and effective,the following works must be done well:((1) The geological and hydrological conditions had to be well known before the dewatering engineering began.(2) The dewatering well had to be laid out reasonably in order to give the full play to the dewatering well.(3) The dewatering checking had to be precise.(4) The engineering organization had to be scientific.(5) The engineering management had to be strict.(6) The dewatering monitoring had to be accurate to avoid the appearance of the unexpected accidents.

Most aeration systems in wastewater treatment plants using activated sewage treatment techniques have problems such as fluctuation of dissolved oxygen concentration,aeration rate redundancy and high energy consumption in aeration unit. Operation data of VACOMASS air distribution and control systems used in 1#aeration tank of the Shaoxing Sewage Treatment Plant's third project were analyzed. The results showed that the dissolved oxygen concentration could be stably controlled within the setting range( ± 0. 5 mg / L). The air saving rate was 25% to 50% while simultaneously ensuring stable dissolved oxygen concentrations in the aeration tank and stable operation of biochemical unit,thereby reducing energy consumption and operation costs of the aeration unit.

Based on a history case of excavation above the existing tunnel,this study analyzed the effect of nearby dewatering on the existing river-crossing tunnel by the finite element method.The influence factors such as the declined depth of groundwater,the extracting layer,the dewatering time and the dewatering method are considered.The results show that dewatering above will cause the settlement of the tunnel.The dewatering depth of groundwater and the tunnel settlement present a linear relationship.Pumping from the low-pressure artesian aquifer will lead to larger tunnel settlement.The longer the dewatering lasts,the larger settlement of tunnel will occur.The result also shows that dewatering inside the foundation pit will cause less amount of tunnel settlement than dewatering outside.

The requirements for wastewater treatment is getting higher and higher,as the national economy in China is developing rapidly.It would be a good method to use pure oxygen aeration technique in sewage treatment.By the analysis of the expansion project of Jimo sewage treatment plant,the paper discussed the theories of pure oxygen aeration technique,the selection of the technology and the economic analysis of pure oxygen aeration technique,discussed the feasibility of the use of pure oxygen aeration technique in sewage treatment.As the new national standards improved the requirement of nitrogen and phosphorus removal,pure oxygen aeration shows great prospects in the construction of sewage treatment plant.
