    Abstract:
The purpose to conduct this study was to determine the relationship of selected anthropometric measurements with the performance of Taekwondo athletes. In this study the anthropometric measurements of the 25 Taekwondo athletes who participated in the Senior National taekwondo championship 2018 under 54kg weight category were collected. The independent anthropometric measurements selected for this study were Iliac Height, Iliac to Knee Length and Knee Height. The performances of the players in senior national Taekwondo championships in last four years were taken as the dependent variable.
The aim of our present study was to investigate the anthropometrical status of athletes and non-athletes. The anthropometric data included 3 types of measurements: basic, girths and breadths. The research was carried out on 20 handball players, 16 volleyball players and 21 healthy non-athlete subjects. The data obtained after applying the One-Way ANOVA indicates the existence of differences between the research groups (p<0.05), depending on weight, BMI, girths (arm span, chest, waist, hip), and breadths (biacromial, biliocristal, transverse chest), while no differences were recorded for height and anterior-posterior chest depth. Our research demonstrated the existence of differences between the non-athletes and athletes, as a result of the targeted selection of the athletes for each post or team.

The aims of this study were to establish the physic al and physiological attributes of elite and subelite Turkish male and female taekwondo players and to determine whether these attributes discriminate elite players from sub-elite players. Measurements and tests of basic anthropometry, explosive power, anaerobic recovery capacity arm strength, were conducted on two occasions, separated by at least one day. The rhas been carried out with 24 men and 16 women successful Turkish National Team taekwondo athletes who have had degrees in European and World Championships several times, and 24 male and 16 female ordinary athletes who have not been in National Teams. 81 subjects ha ve taken part in this research. In the research, totally 31 physical and anthropometric va riables have been analysed by testing. In comparing the data obtaining from the athletes who were and were not in National Teams in free groups,'t' test; and as for determining the statistical relations between the anthropometric and physical characteristics, Pearson Correlation analy ze statistics has been used. In analyzing the results, the signifance level has been accepted as (p<0.05).

The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between anthropometric, physiological and physical characteristics with success of elite female taekwondo athletes. Forty subjects were selected from elite female taekwondo athletes who won medals in regional and national championships. Individual information forms were completed. The mean age, height and body mass index of subjects were 17.84±3.67 years, 167.56±6.92 cm and 19.12±2.45 kg/m 2 respectively. All subjects were assessed for height, weight, lengths, girths, body mass index, waist-to-hip ratio and skin-fold thickness. Percentage of body fat was calculated from the sum of 3 site measurements of skin-fold thickness. Aerobic and anaerobic power were also calculated using by cooper and Sargent vertical jump tests respectively and then by placing into the standard recommended equations. Speed, agility, muscular endurance and flexibility were assessed using by 36m sprint, 4×9m shuttle run, push-ups and sit-and-reach tests respectively. From all of anthropometric, physiological and physical characteristics, anaerobic and aerobic power, body mass index and fat percentage, speed and agility were significantly related to success and had more importance for taekwondo athletes. Thus, these characteristics have a major effect on taekwondo specially, in championship goals and should be considered in talent identification and training planning of this sport.

The purpose of this study was to compare the anthropometric measurement to the professional players of the three different disciplines of basketball, handball and volleyball. . For each player anthropometric measurements such as weight, body height, waist circumference, BMI and skinfold calculation on different sports are performed. Differences in terms of anthropometric measurements were assessed by independent static tests and the differences for each variable for each sport were evaluated with the ANOVA method with the Post Hoc test. As a conclusion in this study, the results of this study showed that the anthropometric measurements of professional players of the three main sports varied among them, while there were no significant differences between sports for the measurement of biceps and suprailliac fat. According to this study, sports have different demands on anthropometric attributes, which are specific to each professional player of three basketball, volleyball and handball sports. Therefore, for this variety of outcomes, coaches need to create training programs according to the sport's specifications and every sportsman in the field. Article visualizations:

Anthropometry is a specialized branch of science dealing measurement of body parts of living organisms. There is a further specialized branch of anthropometry dealing with measurement of human body part when they are involved in movement or locomotion or more clearly speaking the athletes. Stature of a person or his anthropometric profile to a great extent influences his sport performance. Different game or sporting event has a specific demand for stature or anthropometric structure. Considering the importance, the scholar premeditated to conduct a study on “Comparison Of Anthropometric Profile Between National Level Volleyball And Football Players”. The purpose of this study was to compare anthropometric profile between national level male volleyball and football players. To achieve the purpose of this study, total 67(sixth six) National level players (33 male volleyball players and 34 football players) were selected as the subject from various clubs, university and associations of west Bengal. Initially descriptive statistics was calculated and further “t”-test was computed for observing the degree of difference between the means. The level of significance was fixed at 0.05 level of confidence. Data analysis revealed that there exists significant difference between the length measurements variables such as Standing Height., Sitting Height, Arm Length R, and Arm Length L i.e. the volleyball players were superior than the footballers with respect to length measurements mentioned above but there was no significant difference with respect to girth measurements.
