The paper studied the effect of three different treatments for patients with rheumatoid arthritis on indicators functional activity of phagocytic cells. The study participated 89 patients with rheumatoid arthritis that were rozprydilenni into three groups depending on the type of treatment, and 20 healthy individuals. It was found that in response to microbial antigens kept functional activity of phagocytic cells in patients with minimal active rheumatoid arthritis receiving methotrexate and in patients with rheumatoid arthritis III degree of activity that received combined treatment Remikeydom and methotrexate compared with a group of patients with rheumatoid arthritis III the degree of activity treated with methotrexate alone.

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic, systemic autoimmune condition that causes joint abnormalities, articular tissue loss, and non-specific inflammation of peripheral joints. Rheumatoid arthritis is more prevalent in women and wealthy countries, where it affects 0.3% to 1% of the population. Ayurveda Rheumatoid arthritis (Āmavāta) occurs due to vitiation of Kapha and Vāta Dōsha (body humors). The purpose of this study was to determine the efficacy of a particular herbal paste in treating rheumatoid arthritis based on the pharmacological characteristics and effects of its constituent parts. Information about rheumatoid arthritis was acquired from Ayurvedic scriptures, contemporary texts and earlier research studies (from primary and secondary sources). Afterwards a survey of the literature was done on those five ingredients in the selected paste and then analyzed for their Pancha Padārtha (five elements of herb) and pharmacological qualities regarding in the management of rheumatoid arthritis. Reviewed articles have highlighted that selected herbal formula has anti-inflammatory qualities because of their compatibility with Shōtha Hara (reduce swelling), Vēdanāsthāpana (reduce pain) Guna (qualities). According to the literature review and Pancha Padārtha analysis, selected herbal formula is useful in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis.

Background: Objectives: To evaluate the significant importance of IFN-y and IL-12 level in Rheumatoid Arthritis patients. Material and Methods: A serum sample was collected from two groups. The first group was patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA), the Second group was healthy volunteers. serum of this sample used to detect IFN-y and IL12 level was quantified by using ELISA. Result: The level of serum INF-gamma was significantly lower in patients with rheumatoid arthritis in comparison with control group, 54.01 (14.81) versus 62.55 (28.11), respectively (p = 0.006) . The level of serum IL-12 was significantly lower in patients with rheumatoid arthritis in comparison with control group, 8.47 (2.44) versus 132.82 (56.30), respectively (p < 0.001).
Conclusion: On the basis of the current study, the level of serum INF-gamma was significantly lower in patients with rheumatoid arthritis it means have no significant effect on disease susceptibility of patients. This study has found that the level of serum IL-12 was significantly lower in patients with rheumatoid arthritis.

Objectives : BALB/c mice were administered with JeEoTmg extract after rheumatoid arthritis elicitation were observed to investigate the mitigative effect of JeEoTang for rheumatoid arthritis. Methods : The JeEoTang extract(3.3 ml/kg/day) was daily administered for 14 days to mice suffered from rheumatoid arthritis induced by LPS(300 pt/kg). These specimens were decalcificated in EDTA solution for 4 Weeks. Results : All parameters involved in the rheumatoid arthritis of synovial membrane - hyperplasia of synoviocytes, fibrosis, angiogensis. and infiltration of inflammatory cells - were dramatically decreased in JeEoTmg extract administered mice. The number of NK-1.1, IL-lP, IL-2R-a, and ICAM-1 positive cells in synovial membrane was also remarkably diminished in JeEoTmg extract administered mice and apoptotic cell was decreased. Conclusions : These results indicate that the immnue suppression of JeEoTmg work on the mitigation of synovial damages in mice with rheumatoid arthritis, subsequently JeEoTung may play a role as a cure for rheumatoid arthritis.

Radiosynoviorthese, a new method for the treatment of patients with rheumatoid arthritis, was developed. Altogether 260 patients with rheumatoid arthritis were treated. The therapeutic activity of radioactive colloid Au was administered intra-articularly to all the patients. Indications and contraindications for radiation therapy of rheumatoid arthritis were developed. Good short- and long-term results were noted in most of the patients after radiation therapy. Radiosynoviorthese as a method of local active therapy of affected joints with colloid Au in the multiple modality treatment of rheumatoid arthritis is effective; its prolonged stable therapeutic effect in patients is observed.

Rheumatoid arthritis is the most common autoimmune disease that affects the joints. The cause of the disease is unknown, many studies proposed hypothesis about the etiology of rheumatoid arthritis. The clinical manifestations of arthritis are different in each patients. In addition, the development of the medication is still continue to achieve the most effective role with less side effect. Nanoparticles may be the answer to this problem, since they have been widely used to improve the pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamics of rheumatoid arthritis drugs. Using nanoparticles-tagged folate or PEG to deliver rheumatoid arthritis drugs may increase the specificity of the drugs to the target and consequently, may decrease the side effects of the drugs. The purpose of this review is to summarize the etiology, clinical manifestation and highlighting the use of nanoparticles in rheumatoid arthritis treatment.

AbstractIn this study, we aimed to investigate the levels of serum Zn, Cu, Mg, Mn, and Fe in rheumatoid arthritis and whether they are related to the severity of the disease. The sera from 29 patients with rheumatoid arthritis were studied and compared with those from healthy controls (n = 22). Although serum Fe, Mg and Mn levels were lower in the rheumatoid arthritis group than in the control group, the difference was not statistically significant. Significantly higher Cu (p < 0.001) and lower Zn serum levels (p < 0.012) were found in rheumatoid arthritis than in controls.A statistically significant positive correlation was present between Cu levels and disease activity score (DAS), and there was a negative correlation between Zn levels and DAS.We think that alterations of the level of some trace elements in rheumatoid arthritis are a consequence of and not one of the causes of the disease, as in many other chronic inflammatory disorders.Keywords: Rheumatoid arthritiszinccoppermagnesiummanganeseiron.

Objective To study the comprehensive surgical method for rheumatoid arthritis of knee.Methods 38 cases of total knee replacement for rheumatoid arthritis were analyzed using the John.N.lnsall(HSS) score system.Results The result showed that the joint function improvement were excellent in 86.9%,especially in deformity relief.Conclusion The patient with rheumatoid arthritis has lots of complications,comprehensive surgical method is an effective method for treating rheumatoid arthritis.
