    Abstract:
Real-world groups are organizations or communities existed in the real world, such as the employees of a company, the students of a school, different from the virtual communities in social networks. The members of a real-world group may also appear in the social network and form into a virtual community. However, the community detection methods are not effective to detect the real-world groups because the members may lack interaction and sensitive attributes in the social network, so that the real-world groups appear to be hidden in the social network. This paper defines three kinds of real-world group models and defines sensitive attributes and sensitive relationships of users in real-world groups. We use random walk to detect memberships for real-world groups hidden in social network with no or little edges and sensitive attributes. We evaluate our model with a Facebook dataset. The experiments show that our model has an accuracy of 95%.

For children, learning and life in virtual worlds are related to the real world. In the traditional research on education, we have considered how to make the experience of children in the real world migrate into the learning in virtual world. But there are little people discussing whether the experience of children in the virtual world will turn to migrate to the real world.

The real world and the virtual world constitute the two complementary sides of the whole objective world. The experiences gained from the virtual world is real only in the virtual world, while in real world they are just potentialities or probabilities, that is because the virtual world is not actually existent but effectively existent world.Based on the analysis of the connotation and formation of experience, the paper points out that to make human experience more complete,it should be the combination of the experiences coming from both virtual and real world.

This article proposes an empirical test of whether aggregate economic behavior maps from the real to the virtual. Transaction data from a large commercial virtual world – the first such data set provided to outside researchers – is used to calculate metrics for production, consumption and money supply based on real-world definitions. Movements in these metrics over time were examined for consistency with common theories of macroeconomic change. The results indicated that virtual economic behavior follows real-world patterns. Moreover, a natural experiment occurred, in that a new version of the virtual world with the same rules came online during the study. The new world’s macroeconomic aggregates quickly grew to be nearly exact replicas of those of the existing worlds.

This paper proposes a Blended Reality Agent called "BReA" that can exist in both the real and virtual world and has communicative advantages that is more than simply the sum of those of a robotic agent and an on-screen agent. BReA can seamlessly transfer between the real world and virtual world and users can communicate with BReA without interruption during the transference. We conducted a field test and showed that users can recognize when it points from the virtual world to a real world object after it moves from the real world to virtual world. This result supports a hypothesis that communicating with BReA helps users recognize the link between real world and virtual world objects and virtual world information.

This work presents a system for creating augmented virtuality. We present a tool and methodology that can be used to create virtual worlds that are augmented by video textures taken of real world objects. These textures are images automatically extracted from images of real world scenes. The idea is to construct and update, in real time, a representation of the salient and relevant features of the real world. This idea has the advantage of constructing a virtual world that has the relevant data of the real world, but maintaining the flexibility of a virtual world. One advantage of the virtual-real world representation is that it is not dependent on physical location and can be manipulated in a way not subject to the temporal, spatial, and physical constraints found in the real world.
