Abstract:
ChIP-sequencing, otherwise called ChIP-seq, is a technique used to identify protein co-operations with DNA. A crucial advancement to the field of bio-informatics, ChIP sequencing is conducted in research labs around the world to get a better understanding of the way transcription factors and other associated proteins influence the gene in many biological processes and in tackling disease states. ChIP-seq is predominantly a field under the domain of biotechnology, however recent advancements and development of tools to process ChIP data have turned the study into one involving bio-informatics, allowing computer scientists and lab technicians to work on an otherwise scholarly field of biochemistry, molecular biology, microbiology and biomedicine. This report illustrates the predominant work-flow undertaken to sequence chromatin from a cell and to gain insights on the gene/protein of interest. Another aspect added is to use Machine Learning with Bayesian statistical techniques for Peak Calling. The different stages enumerated in this paper have been completed either with the R language or on a Web Server titled Galaxy.org.Keywords:

The earliest scientific journals on biomedicine began publication in the 50s and their authors addressed the application of biology to medicine. More recently, biochemistry and biomedical engineering questions have figured more prominently. This trend is discussed in a survey of the topics appearing in the Journal of Applied Biomedicine. Pharmacological and toxicological articles have been popular over the long term and the neurosciences, chronomedicine, molecular and cell biomedicine have also been very important. The role of computational biomedicine and nanomedicine has received increasing attention as has the part which applied biomedicine can play in the enhancement of the general economy.

Biomedicine is one of the emerging industries of strategic importance developed in China.This paper figures out the patent datum related to biomedicine applied in China in Derwent Innovations IndexSM and analyzes the outputs,major technology field and patent strategies distribution of main application agencies at biomedicine in terms of patent application quantity as well as its annual changes,lifecycle,assignees and Derwent Classification.After analysis,the author finds out that biomedicine develops swiftly in recent years,and enters a relative mature phase.

Abstract This chapter discusses biomedicine, which is different from most other healing systems, such as the wide range of local healing activities described by ethnographers. The discussion centers mostly on the biomedicine of knowledge creators—teachers, researchers, textbook authors, etc.—and of the high-technology tertiary care institutions that dominate medical training and which represent high status in the profession. The chapter also tries to emphasize the scientific paradigm that is at the center of biomedicine's knowledge-generating and training system.

Many researches in biomedicine had been done in Indonesia, but only a few research results go downstream or applied in the industry. Mapping the potency of research downstream in biomedicine is carried out by classifying research outputs in biomedicine. One of the research outputs that can be used and easy to get is research publications. An effective and efficient classification of biomedicine research can be done using a computerized predictive model based on text mining of research publications. The objective of this study is to introduce a conceptual model in classification of biomedicine research based on research publications. The model of classification is defined based on findings in in-depth interview with researchers and industries about biomedicine discovery process, and a literature study. The relation of the classification model with the technology readiness level (TRL) model is analyzed by mapping. This conceptual model of classification of publication in biomedicine research to research downstream potency, developed as part of a research framework to build a computerized predictive model based on research publications.

Women's health care prospects around the world depend on many factors, including broad social changes involving how gender dimensions within traditional medicine are transformed by global biomedicine. I propose a model that will help us to evaluate international health care transformation in Asia through understanding the specific impact of biomedicine on women practitioners of indigenous medicine. I suggest in the model that the relationship among gender, indigenous medico-science, and biomedicine is shaped by culture-specific and historical gender organization, the gendered knowledge foundations of indigenous medicine, and modernizing biomedical and Western science influences.

Non-compliance to biomedicine is one of the major challenges to public health officials and physicians mainly in developing countries. The evaluation of symptoms and the subsequent decision to seek help involves complex processes. The accessibility of biomedicine alone does not ensure the utilization of the service. Many socio-cultural and economic factors come into play in the decision making process of patients. This brief ethnographic account therefore shades light on the illness behavior, noncompliance to biomedicine and the patterns of resort in Addis Ababa.
