    We filled different proportions of inorganic packing(nano-silica) in the epoxy resin and investigated the flexural properties of modified epoxy resin compared with pure epoxy resin, based on the mechanics experiments using Zwick/Roell equipment. The experimental results showed the performance of modified epoxy resin by proper proportions of inorganic packing increased significantly compared with pure epoxy resin, but excessive inorganic packing had no help in improving the performance of epoxy resin and even cause some decline of the properties.

    epoxy resin is one of the three-big film-former substances,which used in heavy-duty coatings,and whose structure chains determine their anticorrosive properties,therefore modification of epoxy resin is an important method of improving anticorrosive properties of epoxy paints systems.The modification methods and mechanisms of epoxy resins with high performances are reviewed,and a description is also given on their application heavy-duty coatings.

    To understand salt spray corrosion behavior and corrosion mechanism,the resistance of salt sprays corrosion for a Fe-based alloy 30Cr2Ni4MoV used in ship had been studied in the paper.The surface and section of samples corroded for different times,the corrosion products,the corrosion weight loss and corrosion ratio had been analyzed.The result showed that after corrosion 400 h,the surface of samples had been covered with corrosion products,and some corrosion products had separated from the substrate.The main component of corrosion product was FeO(OH).The corrosion of 30Cr2Ni4MoV started form the corrosion pits,and then extended.While the corrosion extent of samples tended to be same,new corrosion pits appeared,and corrosion continued.In the first 100 h,the corrosion rate changed greatly.

    Epoxy floor coating is one of the fastest developed fields on the application of the epoxy resin. In this paper, we introduce the types of epoxy floor coating,and we also introduce the types, the nature and the parameter of curing agents for epoxy floor coating. At last we predict the developing tendency of the epoxy curing agents in the future, and give the advice on the epoxy curing agents.

    This article discusses the suitability of epoxy resins for use in the protection of steel and concrete used in water facilities. The article provides a brief overview of the properties and characteristics of resins, plastics, epoxy compounds, and liquid and solid resins. Classes of epoxy coatings, different applications, and an example of epoxy compounds used for repairs on an elevated water storage tank at the Lansing (Michigan) Board of Water and Light are discussed.
