    Most cloud storage system uses replica technology to ensure data reliability and improve data access efficiency. But in current file system, there are some problems such as the fixed number of replica and replica placement may cause load imbalance. In order to solve these problems, introducing a dynamic replica adjustment strategy and replica placement algorithm, this strategy can dynamic adjust the number of replica along with the change of heat of access and access response time. When placing a replica, in order to make the access efficiency is the highest, propose a replica placement algorithm based on transmission cost, which is select the best place of access efficient is most in placement a replica. Finally, experimental results show the effectiveness of the strategy.

    We discuss replica analytic continuation using several simple models in order to prove mathematically the validity of replica analysis, which is used in a wide range of fields related to large scale complex systems. While replica analysis consists of two analytical techniques, the replica trick (or replica analytic continuation) and the thermodynamical limit (and/or order parameter expansion), we focus our study on replica analytic continuation, which is the mathematical basis of the replica trick. We apply replica analysis to solve a variety of analytical models, and examine the properties of replica analytic continuation. Based on the positive results for these models we propose that replica analytic continuation is a robust procedure in replica analysis.

    After thorough exploration of the replica management component in globus toolkit4,a replica location prototype based on hiberarchy full-index is designed.A system framework,replica location principle,soft-state update and replica location algorithm are proposed,and the replica location prototype is implemented.By means of deployment and running the prototype system,the algorithm is verified.The result shows that this prototype system is able to achieve replica location and create replicas safely and efficiently.

    The surface crack observation by a plastic replica method is an indispensable technique to study initiation, propagation and non-propagation of a micro crack. In particular it is difficult to pinpoint the place in which the crack will initiate for smooth specimen. For the case, it is the only way to observe going back in time, after finding a large crack. A replica method makes this possible. In this report, the revealed matters which are made clear in the surface observation by the replica method are discussed
    Here we review the approach to glassy systems based on the replica method and we introduce the main ingredients of replica symmetry breaking. We explain why the replica method has been successful in spin glass and why it should be successful for real glasses.

    Replica placement method determines replica layout directly and affects resource management of cloud storage indirectly. Since the imbalance of performance indicators in the issue of replica placement, this paper proposes a novel replica placement method inspired by self-similarity propagation of plants (RPMSP). Firstly, the issue of replica placement affected by multiple performance indicators is modeled as the objective space. Then, the method simulates the self-similarity propagation of plants to find the most profitable area and selects the optimal individual from it as the most suitable replica layout. Finally, it conducted several simulation experiments to evaluate the proposed method. The experimental results show that RPMSP can effectively find a suitable replica layout and balance the relationship among multiple performance indicators.
