Abstract:
A matrix of optical fiber sensors eligible for remote measurements is reported in this paper. The aim of work was to monitor the air quality with a device, which does not need any electricity on site of the measurement. The matrix consists of several sensors detecting carbon dioxide concentration, relative humidity and temperature. Sensors utilize active optical materials, which change their color when exposed to varied conditions. All the sensors are powered with standard light emitting diodes. Light is transmitted by an optical fiber from the light source and then it reaches the active layer which changes its color, when the conditions change. This results in a change of attenuation of light passing through the active layer. Modified light is then transmitted by another optical fiber to the detector, where simple photoresistor is used. It is powered by a stabilized DC power supply and the current is measured. Since no expensive elements are needed to manufacture such a matrix of sensors, its price may be competitive to the price of the devices already available on the market, while the matrix also exhibits other valuable properties. Keywords:

The method for exactly measuring photocell light function is proposed by using a adjoint operational amplifier. The measurement circuit and the principle are given. And relevant formulas are established. The condition for photocell to work in linear region is received. Matlab simulating results prove the veracity of the method.

The organic light-emitting transistors (OLETs) with a novel tri-layer organic semiconducting heterostructure architecture and good performance, including record high EQE, is presented. In addition, an active-matrix display based on OLETs, without driving TFTs, will be demonstrated on a plastic substrate. The potential advantages of such technologies will be discussed.

Study of 2D and 3D Optical Beam Induced Voltage Imaging Using Photoresistor Sensor. This article shows a method to study OBIV (optical beam induced voltage) imagerie system, that usually employ a laser scanning microscopy system. The OBIV imagerie system developed use a photoresistor sensor as a sample and simultaneously it can be used for analyzing its inhomogeneity response. Resolution of the system is still low, about 350μm due to high value of incident light diameter. The results inform that photoresistor sensors gave an optimum response if the incident light hits the center of sensible zone.

A method for the measurement of light transmission is described. It makes use of an illuminator, a photometer to which a measuring and a reference photocell are connected, a bifurcated light guide and four special holders, two for the photocells and two for the branches of the light guide. The reference photocell gives the values of the first intensity while the measuring photocell, covered by the sample to be examined, gives the values of the second intensity. By just switching from one photocell to the other, without moving the sample it is possible to verify the values of both the first and the second intensity and consequently insure more precise measurements.

Temperature characteristic of the silicon photocell influences temperature drifting of the instrument which uses the silicon photocell, including the measurement stability, the control precision and so on.Therefore,it is very important to measure the temperature characteristic of the silicon photocell.DS18B20 is used to measure the temperature of silicon photocell based on single bus technology and single-chip computer control technology.A higher-degree automatil measurement method is proposed including hardware design and software design. The result shows that this scheme is feasible and provides theoretical basis for practical applications.

This paper reports an indium zinc oxide (IZO) thin film transistor (TFT) with a multi-stacked structure that showed improved performance compared to the TFT with a single active-layer structure. Devices with a multi-stacked active-layer structure were fabricated using an IZO solution process. The determination results showed that the electrical operation and environmental stability of multi-stacked IZO TFTs were improved significantly compared to those of single active-layer IZO TFTs. The roughness of the device surface was measured by atomic force microscopy. The root mean square calculation showed that the multi-stacked active-layer IZO TFT had a smoother surface. The multi-stack structured IZO TFT showed an exceptional electron mobility of 7.75 ± 0.2 cm2/V s, an on–off current ratio of 4.67 × 105 ± 0.55 × 105, and a subthreshold swing of 1.11 V/decade. In addition, a weak threshold voltage (0.35 ± 0.42 V) that is more conducive to device driving was obtained. These results highlight the great potential of multi-stack structured IZO TFTs for applications in active-matrix backplane displays.
