    Abstract:
    A method for detecting latent fingerprints based on the adsorption of NO gas and an ultrasonically nebulized NO probe was developed.
    The application of ion cyclotron resonance spectroscopy to the stUdy of organometallic reactions is described.Methodology is outlined for the determination of metal-hydrogen, metal-carbon and metal-ligand bond dissociation energies and representative results are given.These data are of fundamental importance in understanding the reactions of organic molecules at transition metal centers.Decarbonylation of aldehydes and dehydrogenation of alkanes are treated as examples of oxidative addition processes.Elimination of methane from hydrido methyl complexes exemplifies the study of reductive elimination reactions.Additional examples include studies of the acylation and alkylation of metal complexes, and the reactions of molecular hydrogen with several coordinatively unsaturated species.

    Abstract The acidities of radical cations derived from PhSH, PhOH, cyclopentadiene, PhCH 2 CN, fluorene, PhNH 2 , Ph 2 CH 2 , and toluene are estimated in DMSO and in the gas phase by combination of acidity data for the parent acids (pKHA) with oxidation potentials for HA (Eox(HA) in DMSO and IP(HA) in the gas phase) and with oxidation potentials for A‐ (Eox(A‐) in DMSO and EA(A·) in the gas phase).
