Abstract:
Desde sus origenes la clasificacion de documentos en las bibliotecas y centros de documentacion ha tenido por objeto organizar las colecciones de manera que se agruparan los documentos con una tematica afin, con la finalidad de recuperarlos y facilitar la exploracion dentro de una materia. El reto para alcanzar este objetivo ha sido conjugar la adecuacion a modelos teoricos mas o menos estructurados de organizacion del conocimiento y las necesidades pragmaticas de organizacion de colecciones concretas. Se exponen de manera panoramica las caracteristicas de estos sistemas y su evolucion, desde sus origenes conocidos hasta las transformaciones que han supuesto su adaptacion tanto a los cambios de la tecnologia como a los usos de consumo de una informacion cada vez mas diversa por un publico, a su vez, mas heterogeneo.SISTEMAS DE CLASIFICACION BIBLIOGRAFICA / ORGANIZACION DEL CONOCIMIENTO / SISTEMAS FACETADOS / SISTEMAS JERARQUICOS / BUSQUEDA DE INFORMACION / BUSQUEDAS EXPLORATORIAS / CATALOGOS EN LINEA / WORLD WIDE WEBSince the begin, documents classification in Libraries and Information Centers has been to organize it into collections, so that the items are grouped with a related within a commun subject in order to retrieval and facilitate the searching into a singular topic. The challenge to achieving this objective has been to combine the refer theoretical models structured more or less into a knowledge organization, and a pragmatic organization needs of specific collections.
