    Abstract:
    Abstract Pyridine features prominently in pharmaceuticals and drug leads, and methods to selectively manipulate pyridine basicity or metabolic stability are highly sought after. A robust, metal‐free direct fluorination of unactivated pyridylic C−H bonds was developed. This convenient reaction shows high functional‐group tolerance and offers complimentary selectivity to existing C−H fluorination strategies. Importantly, this late‐stage pyridylic C−H fluorination provides opportunities to rationally modulate the basicity, lipophilicity, and metabolic stability of alkylpyridine drugs.

    The synthesis of a collection of 3-substituted indole derivatives incorporating partially fluorinated n-propyl and n-butyl groups is described along with an in-depth study of the effects of various fluorination patterns on their properties, such as lipophilicity, aqueous solubility, and metabolic stability. The experimental observations confirm predictions of a marked lipophilicity decrease imparted by a vic-difluoro unit when compared to the gem-difluoro counterparts. The data involving the comparison of the two substitution patterns is expected to benefit molecular design in medicinal chemistry and, more broadly, in life as well as materials sciences.

    The parameters of lipophilicity for three different groups of drugs (twelve analgesics drugs, eleven cardiovascular system drugs, and thirty six compounds characterized by divergent pharmacological activity) were experimentally determined by HPLC methods as well as calculated using various computer programs (HyperChem, ACD/Labs, ChemAxon, Dragon and VCCLab). The relationships between experimental (chromatographic) parameters of lipophilicity (log k and log kw) and the chemical structure of the studied compounds, and their comparison due to their lipophilic and hydrophilic character were presented. Moreover, the experimental and calculated values of parameters of lipophilicity were correlated and compared. Finally, both these groups of parameters of lipophilicity were analyzed using PCA or FA methods for the classification of studied compounds according to their chemical structures and pharmacological activity.

    The comparative molecular field analysis (CoMFA) method has been employed to correlate the apparent lipophilicity (logkw) and global lipophilicity (logP) for orthopramide derivatives. This study demonstrated that CoMFA is an excellent method in predicting the complex properties of molecules such as apparent lipophilicity (logkw) or lipophilicity (logP). The better predictability of lipophilicity by introducing logkw as an independent descriptor suggests that the HPLC capacity factor measured in a buffer of pH 7.5 (logkw) can be effectively utilized in the prediction of global lipophilicity.

    Fluorination has become an effective tool to optimize physicochemical properties of bioactive compounds. One of the applications of fluorine introduction is to modulate the lipophilicity of the compound. In our group, we are interested in the study of the impact of fluorination on lipophilicity of aliphatic fluorohydrins and fluorinated carbohydrates. These are not UV-active, resulting in a challenging lipophilicity determination. Here, we present a straightforward method for the measurement of lipophilicity of fluorinated compounds by 19F NMR spectroscopy. This method requires no UV-activity. Accurate solute mass, solvent and aliquot volume are also not required to be measured. Using this method, we measured the lipophilicities of a large number of fluorinated alkanols and carbohydrates.

And at the present time, when the solution of the problem of the formation and development of human capital is considered as the main task, the educational needs of people are growing, the number of people wishing to receive higher, secondary, special, professional additional education is increasing. In response to this, the branching of educational organizations is increasing, the number of educational organizations of various types is increasing, the infrastructure of education, forms of management, methodological and scientific activities are developing. Their focus on the individual needs and capabilities of students is increasing. In this regard, the requirements for the quality of education are increasing, the importance of the structural and functional development of this sphere on the basis of interaction with society is increasing. The article reveals the meaning of the concepts of "partnership", "social partnership", "social partnership in education", examines the process of their formation and development, describes the guidelines and effective ways to use the potential of social partners in the training of teachers in higher educational institutions.     Fluorination is commonly employed to optimize bioactivity and pharmaco-kinetic properties of drug candidates. Aliphatic fluorination often reduces the lipophilicity (log P), but polyfluoroalkylation typically increases lipophilicity. Hence, identification of polyfluorinated motifs that nonetheless lead to similar or even reduced lipophilicities is of interest to expand the arsenal of medicinal chemistry tools in tackling properties such as compound metabolic stability or off-target selectivity. We show that changing a CF3-group of a perfluoroalkyl chain to a methyl group leads to a drastic reduction in lipophilicity. We also show that changing a C–F bond of a trifluoromethyl group, including when incorporated as part of a perfluoroalkyl group, to a C–Me group, leads to a reduction in log P, despite the resulting chain elongation. The observed lipophilicity trends were identified in fluorinated alkanol models and reproduced when incorporated in analogues of a drug candidate, and the metabolic stability of these motifs was demonstrated.
