    Abstract:
    This chapter provides a brief introduction to mountain tourism and sport and adventure activities in mountain areas in their theoretical and historical context. It also describes the management themes of the book relevant to mountain tourism.
    The article raises the concept that adventure fictions existed in ancient China and were closely related with traveling notes.The Monkey King,Voyage to the West and Flowers in the Mirrors had played an important role in the evolution of adventure fictions.Based on recordation,the novelists made up and imagined customs and cultures of foreign countries to reflect and mock the reality at that time.Different from adventure fictions in the west,ancient Chinese adventure fictions often portrayed the adventure of a group of people,and the stories were constructed by different characters.

    The paper presents a brief review of twenty proposals for tourism regionalization of either a part of or the whole of Poland (or attempts to delimit the most attractive areas in terms of leisure), formulated between 1938 and 2012. It also analyses selected definitions of tourism regions and discusses the indicators which are proposed for the delimitation of tourism regions. Moreover, the paper attempts to indicate areas with the highest levels of tourism, in part modelled on Maria Mileska (1908-1988). It includes academic (precise) criteria for the designation of tourism regions. Some researchers’ comment that Mileska’s work is (partially) outmoded not so much from the methods employed as in the number of tourism regions and the areas covered. This should be regarded as understandable given that this regionalization was formulated at the beginning of the 1960s. Another important issue raised is the most recent tourism regionalization of Poland as prepared by Durydiwka.

    Based on oral history interviews conducted with 30 women born in the United States in the 1920s, 1930s, and 1940s, this project presents women’s memories of their girlhood relationship to popular media and culture. Specifically, they told us about a preference for adventure stories including those of adventurous and/or strong real-life females. We conclude with a discussion of how these findings may reflect the social-cultural constraints placed on girls growing up at that time such that adventure stories enabled them to live vicariously and to negotiate a future identity in which they too could lead lives of daring and adventure.

    How might one describe outdoor adventure education in Canada to other outdoor educators in the world? Not our own regional places and particular practices, but rather the general collective sense of the field that is significantly and distinctively a “Canadian way.” We believe Canada’s geography, Canada’s influences and differences from the United States, and Canadian outdoor educators’ tendency to integrate the curricular aspects of environment and adventure educations would be present for most. In this paper we will discuss the philosophical underpinnings of Canadian adventure education and offer a description of outdoor adventure education in Canada. The article is divided into three sections. The first deals with Canadian meanings of outdoor adventure education, the second explains what a Canadian outdoor adventure education is, followed by a description of where outdoor adventure education in Canada is taught.

    This report is the results of interview to playleaders at adventure playgrounds about the role and occupation of playleaders. Though the role of a playleader is quite diverse, the most inportant one is to defend children's play from adults. It is important for establishment of playleader's occupation to spread adventure playgrounds. The qualification of a playleader is effective for prevailing playleaders. It is most important for playleaders to accumulate play experiences at adventure playgrounds. It is also needed training adventure playgrounds for playleaders. Supporting system of public administration is very important for the set of adventure playgrounds and playleaders.
