Glossary III of Outlaw Language from Eger and Relations between 18th-century Hungarian Outlaw Language Glossaries The paper presents Glossary III of Outlaw Language from Eger found in the Archives of Kecskemét. This glossary clearly reveals the relationship between 18th-century glossaries of Hungarian outlaw language. The most important conclusion affecting our previous knowledge of the topic is that Glossary III of Eger proves that Glossary I of Böszörmény was not an independent collection but a copy of Glossary III of Eger made in Böszörmény. This resulted in a paradox in which the finding of Glossary III of Eger did not increase but rather reduced the number of glossaries of Hungarian outlaw language.

Abstract This study deals with the development of glossary of selected Hiligaynon words and the evaluation of the appropriateness of the glossary developed and its level of acceptability.Descriptive-evaluative was used as a methodology of this study. Researcher made questionnaires were utilized to measure the appropriateness of the developed glossary and the level of acceptability in which were evaluated by experts according to different aspects. The developed glossary contained five hundred sixteen entries which underwent into cross-checking. Moreover, the developed glossary was evaluated highly appropriate by panel of experts and highly acceptable as a whole and according to the evaluation made by: teachers in Literature and Hiligaynon language, teachers of Mother-Tongue, and writers and language practitioners. The development of the glossary showed that Hiligaynon language is very rich and that it represents the authenticity and identity of the culture.

In Aethiopica 16, the first part of new readings from the al-Malik al-Afḍal’s 14th-century Arabic–Ethiopic Glossary was published. The present paper offers the results of analysis of the second sheet of the Glossary and contains all identifications which differ from those offered by Franz-Christof Muth. For the 53 entries from the second sheet of the Glossary, whose identification in Muth’s publication is either missing altogether or not sufficiently convincing, new readings are offered and discussed.
