    Sarcoidosis is an unusual cause for solitary cavitation of the lung. Its occurrence had been associated with advanced pulmonary and parenchymal involvement. Case reports of cavitary formation clearly due to sarcoidosis are rare. There has been no previous report of cavitary sarcoidosis occurring in an asymptomatic patient.
