Abstract:
Based on years of practical instruction and theoretical studies, the article puts forward a set of reforms of textbooks for courses in Engineering material and machine building fundamental. The improved textbook tends to be more systematic and manifold in form and be more a synthesis in content of theory and practice with greater emphasis on applicability and comprehensivity.Keywords:

The author sets forth the position and function of physics in the development of science,technology and engineering,then stresses the importance of engineering physics teaching and the construction of teaching materials.Besides,the author puts forward some suggestions on the principles and characteristics of teaching materials reform on the basis of expounding the present situation of engineering physics teaching materials.At last,the author gives his views on disposition of knowledge,training of ability and quality.

Machine design or machine design foundation is a major course for mechanical or automotive evgineering specialty.It is absolutely necessarily teaching period.In this paper,some outstanding problems in teaching are summarized,and analyzed.Some relative content of machine design are explained from a professional level through examples,so,the students can comprehend in-depth the knowledge which does not explain distinct in textbooks.This is in favor of improving the course teaching quality as well as training the students' positivity and creationary thinking.

This article introduces the three-dimensional textbook: Theory of Machines and Mechanisms,which was written by Pro.Zhou Hui-jun and published by Higher Education Press.Based on the original existing paper textbook,now it has been configured in three-dimensional form.Relied on the useful content and advanced and methods,they can be used in the teaching of the engineering curriculum.Not only renovates it the exisiting teaching method,but also changes the study methods,and also achieves good effect.

In this paper we analyze the disadvantages in the textbooks of advanced mathematics,that is valued the science much more over the humanities and valued the theory much more over the experiment,that teaching mode is teacher-centered. Based on the textbooks reform,the paper is discussed the basic thought of constructing threedimensional textbooks in order to enhance reform and meet the actual needs of science and engineering professionals.

Textbook construction of Basic mechanics plays an important role in higher engineering education.Nonetheless,the traditional textbooks cannot meet the diverse demands of higher education,and some of them are too out-dated to fulfill the requirement of training modern and high-quality talents.Moreover,they emphasize theories rather than application and thus cannot cultivate students' ability to solve practical engineering problems.In order to adapt to new circumstances of reform and development of higher education and cultivate diverse talents,it is critical to construct a variety of multi-level textbooks for Basic Mechanics.Furthermore,to improve teaching quality of this course,it is vital to update textbooks,make use of foreign textbooks,and emphasize experiments and practice of Basic Mechanics.
