369 students in two different kinds of college were surveyed on the issues of career maturity and career guidance. It shows that: first, the career of undergraduate is in an immature stage of development;second, the career maturity of male undergraduates is higher than that of female ones;third, the career maturity of third year undergraduates is higher than that of second year students;fourth, career guidance is an effective method to promote undergraduates' career maturity, especially in the aspects of the improvement of the sense of career worth and the enhancement of career independence.Based on the above results, the researchers suggest that we should focus on the exploration of career self and give consideration to the interaction between self and environment to make career promotion has a clear aim, then to form an organic whole.
