    Abstract:
    Development of network management technologies results in a mass of isolated network management islands,which restricts the promotion of network management systems.In the face of lots of independent simple network management protocol(SNMP) network management systems,a Web service-based method of building distributed network management system was put forward.Network management functions of the managers were defined as Web services and published to the uniform center,in which the managers can inquire the Web services and call them in a custom-tailor way.Therefore,the distributed network management functions can be obtained.This method adopts loosely coupling architecture and builds a network management overlay that supports the coordinate information and the interacting actions between managers,and sustains the designing global network management functions according to practical requirements.A distributed network monitoring function on the system demonstrates that this building distributed network management system technology has excellent practicability.

    With the development of the computer and communication technology,the traditional network management systems that look upon the network equipments as the management objects could not meet the needs of the service management.To set up a new network management system structure could be solve the network of effective management of business.Referencing the traditional models of network management,through the application layer to set up a new service-oriented distributed network management architecture,which combings network services and management services,is proposed to achieve data collection using active network technology.

    This document presents a new approach to Internet network management without changing the basic rules of the interface and encapsulation mechanisms of standard management transport protocols. The Internet network services management framework (INSMF) tries to overcome the most important limitations of the Internet network management framework (INMF) by adding a new extension-model to it, using a network service management distributed architecture that provides services management functions with any desired level of functionality. The specification of a generic domain name service (DNS) management service is presented, as a way to illustrate the capabilities and potential of the proposed framework.

    With the development of the computer network, and the great change in the demands of network management, any Network Management System is a process of development and perfection. Therefore, designing a rational system structure is the foundation to ensure the good scalability of the system. The main issues and characteristics of Network Management in Campus Network at present were analyzed in the thesis, and the system structure of Network Management in Campus Network were discussed, which includes data collecting layer, centralized-processing layer, network management layer, service management layer. The basic network management system framework of campus network based on Web and its deployment method were also proposed in this paper, which cover the most of the demand for network management. The framework has a good scalability, which lay the foundation for the development of Network Management System in campus network.

    Traditional network management can not meet the needs of the Next Generation Network(NGN),so service-oriented network management is the inevitable development trend.Based on the research of active network technology and using advanced ideas of active network technology and telecommunication management network,we proposed the organization model,the function model,the communication model and the information model.To propose a new network management model: service-oriented network management model based on active network technology.The network management system based on this model can preferably and effectively manage network services.

    As the complexity and size of data networks increases, network management faces a great challenge. Fortunately, the emergence of the SNMP (simple network management protocol) management framework and Web technology release network managers from this difficult circumstance. This paper discusses the functional requirements of a Web-based network management and proposes the architecture for Web-based network configuration management, which is capable of controlling and monitoring the configuration information of enterprise networks remotely. The functional modules and the interfaces of the proposed system are discussed in detail.

    With the rapid development of computer network, the network architecture is increasingly complicated; the scale of network extends continuously. Therefore, the functions and positions of the network management are also more and more important. The Web-Based network management, making users manage the network and system expediently and simply, combining Web technology and modern distributed network management technology, which can also be updated and customized easily to meet the different needs, is an important direction of the development of the network management technology in the future. This paper proposes an a SNMP-based Web network management system using B/S structure, which has features of flexible structure, easily extensible, user-friendly features and so on.

    Managing the future digital battlefield networks presents unique challenges: (1) the need to enable seamless, end-to-end network management interoperability across different network management systems that involves multiple network administrative domains, and heterogeneous network technologies, (2) the need to support user, terminal, and network equipment mobility management with large user population and wide geographical area coverage, and (3) the need to facilitate rapid network deployment and fault-tolerant network management. In this paper we describe a CORBA-based network management architecture to address these challenges. In particular, we propose to support network management applications utilizing a distributed object database framework where network information is managed, accessed, and manipulated as a collection of distributed CORBA objects. We will integrate the TMN tiered principle with the manager/agency distributed management paradigm to support management scalability for battlefield networks. An application of the proposed architecture to realize network self-configuration capabilities is also presented.
