Abstract:
While studying the development of clothing,if we regard Chinese clothing as an example,we will find that the development of clothing can be divided into two ways.One is chronological way.That is,a long history in which clothing changes as time goes on,but the basic characteristics are carried on.The other is the fusion among Chinese clothing,clothing of minority nationalities,and those of foreign nationalities.The latter will certainly become the main trend in the present world,and will be the main tendency of clothing development.Keywords:

Functional clothing represents the evolutionary segment of the technical textiles market, representing an area where clothing crosses the conventional boundaries and integrates with the domains of medicine, biotechnology, nanotechnology, physics and computing among others, to meet the multifaceted and complex requirements of the user. Functional clothing by definition is user-requirement specific and designed or engineered to meet the performance requirements of the user under extreme conditions. A variety of functional clothing products are available in the market as protective clothing, medical clothing or sports clothing, even though little information is available regarding the principles employed in their production. Functional clothing in fact has never really been systematically defined or classified, unlike technical textiles. In this paper, a functionality-based classification has been proposed with six classes, comprehensively covering most logical types of functional clothing that are in use or are under development. Each distinct class would have similar principles governing the design of products covered under it, even though the final products may find application in a variety of fields, e.g. protective functional clothing may find an application as protective military armour, as sports armour or as protective surgical gowns for the doctors. Principles that characterize each class and differentiate it from the others have been highlighted. As newer technologies are being developed, new and innovative products and possibly new classes will keep on emerging in this field to meet the requirements of consumers.

It analyzed the meaning of clothing end-packaging to visual marketing,suggested that it played an important role in strengthening the clothing brand image impression and making the clothing visional marketing more complete and specific.It also discussed the problems in Chinese clothing end-packaging,such as the packaging were too simple,homogenized,and environmental polluted,summarized the creative trend on clothing packaging in foreign country including the fancy design,eco-design,practical design and organic whole design.Finally it suggested the direction of Chinese clothing packaging design toward style innovation,eco-design and functional design.

Chinese traditional clothing culture has a distinctive national features and a unique form of expression.With the awakening of Chinese national consciousness,Chinese elements were more and more popular.However,the development of Chinese-style clothing has been constrained by effective carrier,product type,market development,and its current development is far from satisfactory.Based on the analysis of above factors,this paper puts forward countermeasures and suggestions of Chinese style garment development from the views of clothing heritage,fashion design,and marketing,in order to provide decision-making reference to Chinese clothing enterprises.
