    Abstract:
Ti-plated diamond surface by molten salt was investigated. The phases of Ti-plating are TiC and Ti,and diamond-TiC-Ti structure model of Ti-plated diamond surface was established. The desquamating grade of diamond and the holding force coefficient between matrix and diamond were suggested as new concepts.A comparison of the diamond saw blade using ordinary diamond with that using Ti-plated diamond reveals that the desquamating grade of diamond reduces from 72.2% to 32.3%,representing a decrease of 39.9%;the holding force coefficient between matrix and diamond increases from 75.6% to 92.81%, an increase of 17.21%.
Abstract In order to study the effect factors of diamond concentration in Dicing Blade prepared by composite coating method, a uniform distribution diamond composite coatings was prepared by suspension and high-low speed interval agitation method on the aluminium alloy blade hub. The effects of suspension diamond content, stirring speed, current density, surface tension and solution temperature to diamond concentration in composite coatings were studied. And the result shows the concentration of diamond in the coating is proportional to the suspending content in electroplating solution, the suspending diamond content increases, and the concentration of diamond in the coating increases until reaching a saturation value. The diamond concentration of coatings is inversely proportional to the stirring speed of sand, and obtained maximum concentrations when current density is 2.0 A/dm2 and temperature is 50°C. The surface tension has little effect to the concentration of diamond in the coating layer.
Effects of oxygen addition on growth and crystallinity of diamond films are discussed. The etch rate of graphite by Ar-O 2 plasma jet is 130 times larger than that by Ar-H 2 plasma jet. Nucleation density of diamonds decreases with oxygen addition. The growth rate of diamond decreases with increase in the amount of added oxygen. Surface unevenness and porosity also decrease with increase in the amount of added oxygen, and it was found that the optimum oxygen concentration is about 33%. A diamond film of 1.2 mm thickness was fabricated under these conditions in 20 h. Surface unevenness of the diamond film was reduced to about 100 µm. The growth rates of the {111} planes and {100} planes become isotropic with 33% oxygen content. Therefore the diamond film surface is only slightly uneven and the film shows good crystallinity.

Cu/diamond composite was produced by vacuum second hot-pressing and repressing and re-sintering technology. The effects of different sintering processes, powder mixing processes and the diamond particle size, volume fraction on the relative density and micromorphology of composites were studied. The results show that the relative density of composites prepared by vacuum second hot-pressing is higher than that by repressing and re-sintering,and the second hot-pressing obviously enhances the relative density of composites. The maximum relative density of 98.45% of the composite with diamond volume fraction of 40% is obtained, with diamond particle size of 90 μm.

Single Crystal Diamond and Polycrystalline Diamond tools had been used to investigate the influences of cutting tool material, reinforcement weight fraction(0~20wt%),feed rate(1~10 μm/r) and tool nose radius(0.4~1.6 mm) on ultra-precision machining of SiC particle-reinforced aluminum matrix composite. The results show that workpiece surface roughness Ra increase markedly with the increasing of SiC weight fraction, and the defects of microvoids, microcracks and scratches are significant when high fraction material is used. The amplitude of tool-workpiece relative vibration and the number of the pulled-out or crushed reinforcement become bigger in high feed rate. The height of the spectral peaks for the feed components increase with decreasing tool nose radius.Although SCD and PCD tools can produce the same or approximate value of Ra,the surface obtained by the latter includes more machine induced damages.
