    Abstract:
The characteristic of rotor and stator vibration signals under run-impact status is studied.Firstly, the characteristic and rules of rotor and stator vibration signals under rub-impact status are studied.Rotor and stator vibration feature with different rotor speed is analyzed through experiment.Through the analysis of stator vibration characteristic, the pulse force from rub-impact may lead to stator resonance,so it can be brought out to diagnose rubimpact faults. Results reveal that the stator resonance signals can indicate rub-impact faults. The conclusions can give basis for the vibration character of the stator and the detection of rub-impact signals for the rotor system.
In this paper, the features of sharp rubbing between rotor and stator in a rotor system are investigated by experiments. According to the extending process of rub-impact, the severity of rub-impact can be divided into four stages: precursor of rubbing or inception of rubbing, early sharp rub-impact, the semi-sharp rub-impact and the terminal blunt rub-impact. In the early rubbing stage, there are the sub-harmonic vibrations of the order 1/3 and 2/3 obviously. These features are conductive to diagnose and predict the rubbing fault as early as possible.

This paper investigates the whole aero-engine coupling vibration, as a rotor tester to be the research object. The rotor tester system is composed of two mountings, stator system, support structures and the rotor system. The modal experiment of the whole tester under the condition of mounting in the test room is carried out. The finite element (FE) model of the rotor tester is built, and the model was modified and validated according to the modal test results. A rotor-stator coupling factor and a section rotor-stator rubbing risk coefficient are proposed, the influence of the support stiffness values on the engine vibration characteristics, such as natural frequencies, modal shapes, rotor-stator coupling degree, and stator-rotor rubbing risk degree at compressor and turbine section is quantitative studied. Results show that the support stiffness contributes to the rigid body modal shapes greatly and to the rotor bending ones slightly. The factor and coefficient defined in this study are both reasonable, and they can reflect the corresponding characteristics exactly. Moreover, the effect of the supports stiffness values on the rotor-stator coupling degree and the rotor-stator rubbing risk degree is nonlinear. The rotor-stator coupling factor and the section stator-rotor rubbing risk coefficient proposed in this study provide a new way to quantitatively research the whole engine coupling vibration.

to diagnose the severity of rotorto-stator rub in rotating machinery. The method of time delay was employed to reconstruct the vibration signal obtained from numerical simulation of a Jeffcott rotor subjected to rotor-tostator rub. Numerical results showed clear correlation between the increase of rub severity with the invariant quantities, , and , investigated in this work.

A new Rotor to Stator contact model is well developed, which consists of a rotor with two discs mounted on a massless shaft and a stator. This model is used to describe the bending/torsion coupled vibrations of a rotor and an elastic stator due to the contact. The model is suitable to simulate full annular rubs, partial rubs and also the heavily destructive dry friction whip when the rotor rolls on the stator's inner surface. The numerical calculations show a variety of rotor orbit figures due to the different types of contacts and reveal the significant influences of all system parameters on the rotor behaviour. The rotor stator contact problem can be detected by monitoring the torsional vibration signals.

The effect of partial rotor-to-stator rubbing is studied both experimentally and analytically. The measured vibration signal is distorted showing a flattenned portion of the waveform.'Spectral analysis indicated that light rubbing induced vibration is characterized by harmonics at frequencies equal to 1/rev., 2/rev.and 3/rev.Severe rubbing is identified by a spectrum containing subharmonics at 1/3, 2/3 of the rotational frequency. The synchronous component is generally attenuated as a result of rubbing introduced friction.Because of the stiffening effect of rubbing on the rotor, the resonance frequency is further delayed. The results obtained analytically show good qualitative agreement with the experimentally obtained ones.

The blade load test method on the condition of rotor and stator rubbing was studied, the vibration characteristics of blade under rub-impact forces and friction forces were tested, and the time load and frequency spectrum of blade and casing under wallop were presented. This proves that, under different rub-impact forces, the blade doesn't generate sympathetic vibration, and is only subject to bending moment. All these provide a basis for intensity analysis of rotating machine on the condition of rotor and stator rubbing.
