Abstract:
The situation of humanity view of 367 secondary school students has been investigated using the humanity - view questionnaire designed by the author of the article. The findings are as follows: the students relatively identify with humanist and cognitive humanity views. Relatively few students identify with behaviourist humanity view. The study of humanity - view difference indicates that the difference exists between boys and girls, students of different schools and students of different grades in some factors of humanity.Cite
The current situation of humanity quality of the college students has been caused a universal concern of the society nowadays.As a component part of higher education,the college English teaching bears such an important mission to foster students' humanity quality.Therefore,it is necessary for college English teaching to start with exploring humanity nature of the textbooks,improve teachers' humanity quality,establishing and intensifying class teaching modes targeting humanity quality enhancement,and creating a healthy campus humanity environment,thus strengthening the students' humanity quality and cultivating high-quality talents for the society.

Some college students are lack of vitality and life objective,and their valuating principles tend to be too materialistic.Meanwhile,pragmatism overwhelms among college students,belief crisis emerges,which could be regarded as the causes of the humanity absence.Several means were tried by universities and colleges to reverse this tendency and some positive results were gained.Professional teachers have their own advantages comparing to college moral consultants.Humanity element inserted in professional education,in most occasions,could show better effects than formal lectures and preaches.A professional teacher should not only be a teacher with rich knowledge but also a leader with humanity spirit.

Based on an investigation of 2275 college students,the results show that the contemporary college students' life view includes extensive contents and presents diversity.The college students' life view consists of five dimensions,namely,control,process,emotion / recognition of death,values and life principle.There are significant statistical differences in five variables: gender,grade,only child or not,urban/rural area and academic achievement.Generally,the college students take positive view on the lives,pursue the meaning of life and cherish it.But there are also some college students take negative view on the lives.Therefore,colleges and universities should carry on Life Education for the students comprehensively and pointedly,and cultivate their life wisdom.

Humanity education is one of the important functions of a university.It provides guidance to university students concerning how to be a civilized man,and how to cope with interpersonal relationship and the relationship between human and nature as well as human and society.Besides,it helps to cultivate students in rationality,sensibility and determination.Thus,social practice is of comprehensive significance in strengthening university students' humanity awareness,humanity education and the consciousness of self-education.

In the questionnaire designed about the view of humanity,the status of 359 college students has been studied.The result shows:Most college students identify with the view of human nature of humanistic and cognitive school,whereas identify less with that of behavioral school.The study of the differences between the views of human nature shows that subjects' gender,major and grade affect their identification with the specific view of human nature.
