    Abstract:
    The main function of this platform is the monitoring and management of meteorological network,SNMP network protocol,real-time monitoring of activities on the network host,to record the running situation of the equipment of all online the units on the network,and carries on the analysis,diagnosis,statistical,tracking and queries on devices on the network operation situation. The network can use the network to conduct a comprehensive control. The city meteorological monitoring network platform was made,to provide a convenient,efficient,quick management tool to the management,but also provide an important basis for the normal operation,network security detection,fault diagnosis and test.

    To solve the problem in network performance monitoring system,such as poor extensibility,simple monitoring parameters and complex structures and so on,a hierarchical and modularization network monitoring system integrated with the performance moni-toring and the abnormal behavior response is designed and implemented.The running results demonstrate that the system supports non-SNMP data collection method and the non-SNMP devices.The system timely responds to network anomalies,and implements network control functions.The parameters the system gathered are more affluent which reflect the real operation circumstances of network.

    Based on simple network management protocol (SNMP) and desktop management system database, this paper proposes a method to build an information network operation mode management system, which is helpful to restrict the access action of information network, provide device condition information’s display, alarm, statistics, analysis and diagnostic functions for various network devices, detects and controls all network devices online, and provides a simple information network operation and maintenance management. This paper introduces system’s architecture design, function design, application effects and various technology implementation details involved in system development process.

    Network monitoring system plays an important role in ensuring network security and maintaining network stability. Based on the thorough study of the application of the simple network management protocol (SNMP), a network intelligent monitoring model for test internet protocol (IP) network is designed, and a network monitoring system is developed. The system can realize the network equipment operation state monitoring, equipment performance monitoring and fault monitoring function in test IP networks at the same time. Meanwhile, the network monitoring system can realize remote real-time status query, fault alarm, network equipment maintenance tips and other functions. This system can discover the existing problems in the network during the process of real-time monitoring, and then provide the decision reference for the network managers to make trouble shooting and network maintenance by expert database to ensure the security and stability of the whole network.

    For improving the stability, reliability, and convenient safeguard in network systems, a new method for network fault detection based on the network device running status was proposed. Using the feature of real network and SNMP(simple network management protocol) and TELNET(telecommunication network protocol), the realization of multi-agent network management systems was discussed. The network management system is characterized by rapid network fault detection, determination and treatment, which has intelligence and capacity for self-study, and also shortens the time of network fault (response) and treatment, thus the reliability of the network was improved. With the use of multi-Agent technology, the new way for studying network management has advantages of simple calculation, rapid fault detection, etc.

    Security monitoring is the most effective guarantee for the network reliable. Based on the network security management,it does some research on the network management technology,mainly about design and implementation of the host monitoring sub-sys-tem. It described it from the following aspects: layer distribution,function model,flow analysis,and running. This subsystem imple-ments the function data information analysis and monitoring control of the network internal host equipment via data acquisition,data analysis,strategy planning and implementation.     In network management and monitoring systems, or Network Management Stations (NMS), the Simple Network monitoring Protocol (SNMP) is normally used, with which it is possible to obtain information on the behavior, the values of the variables, and the status of the network architecture. network. However, for large corporate networks, the protocol can present latency in data collection and processing, thus making real-time monitoring difficult. This article proposes a multi-agent system based on layers, with three types of agents. This includes the collector agent, which uses a Management Information Base (MIB) value to collect information from the network equipment, an input table of information from the network devices for the consolidator agent to process the collected data and leave it in a consumable format, and its subsequent representation by the application agent as a web service, in this case, as a heat map.

    The improving network technology and application make it a challenge to the network manager. A feasible and efficient network management strategy will become an important method to insure the network running well. Therefore, itpsilas meaningful to be familiar with the network and network management technology. In accordance with practical network environment, we design and implement fault management system FMS based on SNMP. Using Client/Server architecture, our system established a distributed management model which is compose of Console/Manager/Agent, finished network status monitoring, event processing, fault alarm and log etc.
