Abstract:
Finely classifying and contrasting strata,analyzing sequence structure and establishing sequence strata framework are the research purpose of this research.By analyzing information of outcrop profile,drilling core and well logging,3 kinds of different sequence interfaces are distinguished in 2nd and 3rd member of YangYi Formation,which can be divided into 9 middle-term,31 short-term and 66 super-short-term base level cyclical sequences.Then,this research analyzes the characteristic of vertical sequence,lithofacies combination,structure type and stacking patterns of various tapered basal level cyclical sequence,and discusses two kinds of super-short-term base level cyclical sequences,which are upward-darken unsymmetrical and symmetric form developed in research interval.Further,the research discusses the application of high-resolution sequence stratigraphy in strata classification and correlation and sequence strata framework establishment in the fan-delta lacustrine facies depositional systems.Keywords:

Based on the available core,drilling,logging and seismic data in the studied area,the theory and method were deployed to establish a sequence stratigraphic framework by recognizing and comparing the critical sequence boundaries in Palaeogane Yingcheng Formation of Gaoliu Area. There develops five sequence boundaries of high isochronic significance within Dongying Formation in which four mid-term base level cycles are divided. The sedimentary characteristics of each sequence are analyzed,it is considered that the depositional system of fan delta,near-shore subaqueous fans and lacustrine facies are developed,the distribution of depositional system are greatly different in different sequence growing times and in different time and locations.

High resolution sequence stratigraphy of Cangfanggon Group in Jimusa'er Area is studied based on a microfacies analysis of surface outcrop.Short-term base-level cyclic sequences controlled by sequence interface V are recognized in Cangfanggon Group,are divided into 3 basic types of structures,such as upward depening non-symmetry,upward thining non-symmetry and symmetry.The characteristics of sandbody growing of each short-term base-level cyclic sequence is described.On the basis stated above,according to the characters of its vertical sequence,lithologic facies assemblage,structural type and its stacking pattern,the middle-term and long-term base-level cyclic sequences of Cangfanggon Group are divided in the study area,in which 8 middle-term and 4 long-term base-level cyclic sequences are divided.Eventually a high resolution framework of sequence stratigraphy is established.

Through the comprehensive analysis of outcrops, cores, well logs and seismic interpretation data, and under the guidance of the theory and technology of the high resolution sequence stratigraphy initiated by Timothy A Cross in 1994, the characteristics of the different grade sequence interface and laucstrine flooding surface in the second member of Nadu Formation Eocene in Lun 35 Block of Ziyin Oil Field from Base Basin are studied. According to the identification sign of the sequence interface and flooding sedimentation, four grade base level cycle sequences that are divided into 13~18 supershort term, 7~9 short term, two middle term, and one long term cycle sequences are recognized from the formation. On the basis of these studies, the vertical sequence, facies association, lithologic component, structure type and stacking pattern are discussed in detail. Among these sequences, the supershort term and short term cycle sequence may be divided into two basic types of structure which are up deepening non symmetry and symmetry from up deepening to up shallowening.The first can be divided further into two subtypes of low or high accommodation and the second can be devided further into three subtypes of non complete or nearly complete symmetry. These basic sequence types and subtypes are of various stacking and distribution patterns. The structure type and stacking pattern of the middle term cycle sequence are the same as that of the short term cycle sequence. The long term cycle sequence are of non complete symmetric structure which develop complete depositional sequence of lacustrine transgressive regressive cycle, and thickness of rising half cycle is larger than the falling half cycle. According to the high resolution isochronous stratigraphic correlation of the turnround boundaries of different order base level including short and middle termcycle sequence, the sequence and time stratigraphic framework can be built that in the scale of supershort term base level cycle as an isochronous unit, which are of varied application significance in hydrocarbon exploration and development ,such as isochronous stratigraphic correlation of small sandbodies with oil, charting of isochronic microfacies in the large scale ,description of sandbody geometry, forecasting reservoir and petroleum accumulation, analysing reservoir heterogeneity, reservoir modeling and so on.

Based on Cross T.A. genetic sequence stratigraphy theory, the high resolution sequence stratigraphy for the upper Shangganchaigou Formation in West Qaidam Basin is analyzed. Through key interface recognition and logging data integrated with core analysis, the aimed segment is divided into one long term base level cycle, five intermediate term cycles and about 17 to 20 short term cycles.The deposition structure and stacking patterns,depositional faces of different level cycles in braid river-delta environment are analyzed,and also the important function of these analysis to reservoir evaluation is discussed.

Based on the identification features of continental stratigraphic sequences on seismic profiles and wire-line logs,synthetic seismograms and the characteristics of lithologic combination,the Neogene Shawan formation is divided into one second-order sequence and two third-order sequences.The third-order sequence Ⅰ is braided as a delta front sequence,while the sequence Ⅱ is a lacustrine sequence.Each third-order sequence according to its characteristics can be divided into three system tracts:low stand,transgressive and high stand system tracts.Based on the identification and correlation of sequence stratigraphic unit,and according to the characteristics of the stratigraphic sequences,the tectonic evolution history and the variation of strata thickness,the sequence stratigraphy framework is shown to have a great,complete and stable thickness in the study area of south-east,and a thinner,incomplete one in the north-west.A preliminary analysis is made on the relationship between sequences and oil-gas exploration potentials,and exploration priorities and goals in each sequences are predicted.The favorable lithological reservoirs are found to be located mainly in the low stand system tracts of sequence Ⅰ and in the transgressive system tracts of sequence Ⅱ.

Based on analyzing the previous problems relative to sequence stratigraphy researches on Erlian basin, this paper associated with the theories and methods of tecto-stratigraphy, genetic stratigraphy and sequence stratigraphy.We take the boundaries of basin generation and boundaries of basin prototype with regional correlative significations as first-order and second-orders in the scenario of framework sequence stratigraphy. And every cycle (para-type basin) representing rift and tectonic inversion within basin (or depression) type is divided as third-order sequences, and the subsidence-filling unit as fourth-order sequences. This paper is to analyze sequence stratigraphic framework based on the restriction of tectonic-sedimentation, and to analyze genetic stratigraphic framework under sequence stratigraphic framework. The merits in the scenario of framework sequence stratigraphy are that it inherits the analysis of chronostratigraphic boundary, sequence cycle and accommodation within marine sequence stratigraphy, and abandon part component of sea-level change and systems tracts in marine setting that are unsuitable in continental rift basin. Such scenario is convenient to construct the unifying sequence stratigraphic framework abroad entire basin, and to express sedimentary characteristics and developments of every sequence stratigraphic unit as well as hydrocarbon pool forming conditions located on different structure-lithofacies zones. In the meantime, this scenario will help to promote cognizing distributions and regional differences of favorable reservoirs and their facies belts so as to establish the significant model of hydrocarbon pool formation and accumulation. Based on practical analyses in all sags within Erlian basin, this paper has constructed correlative, obviously disciplinary and unifying boundary-ordered systems and correlative sequence stratigraphic framework.

Using the theories and methods of sequence stratigraphy in lake basins,seismic,logging and drilling core data of the Denlouku Formation in the Hulan Duiqingshan area of the Songliao Basin are analyzed in order to understand its sequence stratigraphy.The sequence boundaries and maximum flooding surfaces are identified and the sequence stratigraphic framework of the Denlouku Formation is established.It can be divided into three systems tracts.Data used in the sequence and systems tract identification include seismic,outcrop,and logging data.Systems tracts in sequence include LST,TST,and HST.The controlling factors in sequence development are structural swelling,lake level change,and sediment supply.

The rive facies reservoir is short of symbol layer and sandbody is folded and picked ,so fine isochronous sandbody comparing and dividing are difficult. On the basis of the theory of the base-level cycle, 7 short-term cycle sequence,3 middle-term cycle sequence,2 long base-level cycle sequence can be distinguished from the Y8~Y10 oil formation of the principal oil-bearing ones in the Yanan Formation of Middle Jurassic age. The base-level cycle sequence is corresponding to different grade genetic units. At the same time, all graded sequence structure types,stacking patterns and chrono-stratigraphic framework are established on the basis of the middle-term cycle sequence, and short-term cycle sequence,and the reservoir distribution by the different base-level cycle is discussed.

The character of sequence boundary is summarized according to well log,seismic sections and rock cores in this paper.The distribution rules of sequence boundary and short-term cycle in difference sedimentary facies are studied alone from west to east.From Qingshankou Formation to Yaojiazu Formation,can be divided into 4 long term base level cycles and 10 short term base level cycles.Based on the fundamental principle of sequence stratigraphy and sedimentary,the sequence stratigraphic framework of the middle oil-bearing beds can server for future exploration and development.

In order to recognize the characteristics of fan delta facies reservoir and improve the reservoir description accuracy,this paper carried out the study on the reservoir of Upper Karamay Formation based on high resolution sequence stratigraphy and the strata cyclicity as well as sedimentology response caused by different grade base level change.The Upper Karamay Formation in Bai-21 well area can be divided into one long-term sequence cycle,two middle-term sequence cycles,14 short-term sequence cycles and 33~37 super-short-term sequence cycles.The short-term sequence cycles can be divided into two basic structure types which are up-deepening asymmetry and up-shallowing asymmetry.The sedimentary sequence,structure type,stacking pattern and distribution pattern of super-short-term sequence cycles in the process of base level change were discussed in detail.The sequence stratigraphic framework was built up by making short-term sequence as isochronous stratigraphic correlation unit.The sedimentary characteristics of sand body and the oil-gas distribution were analyzed.All these studies provide a good foundation for reservoir research and later development of Upper Karamay Formation in the Bai-21well area.
