Abstract:
Three soybean varieties, which were widely planted in Heilongjiang province, were planted in pots with the same amount of N and K fertilizer, but four different levels of phosphorus. The nitrogen amounts in different organs were determined with the classical method of Kai's Fixed Nitrogen. The results suggested that there were relatively large effects of phosphorus on the nitrogen accumulation in total plants and each organ. In all three soybean varieties with different phosphorus treatments, the nitrogen amounts in total plants were gradually increased from branching stage and reached peak values at ripening stage.Suitable phosphorus level showed beneficial for the accumulation of nitrogen. The highest accumulation of nitrogen in total plants were obtained with P_5 treatment after flowering stage, indicating that suitable phosphorus application can help nitrogen reaching optimum balance, acquiring higher accumulation level.Nitrogen accumulation was higher in the variety with high protein than that in the variety with medium level of protein and high level of oil content, suggesting the nitrogen requirements was higher in high protein content variety. The higher nitrogen amounts in plants was followed by higher yield of single plant and higher content of protein, whereas fat content was lower. The nitrogen had little effect on fat formation. Keywords:

Potassium, nitrogen and their interaction play important roles in plant growth, development and yield of rice. Appropriate potassium can stimulate nitrogen accumulation and translocation in rice. In order to identify plant nitrogen absorption, distribution and utilization characteristics of rice under potassium supply, a field experiment was conducted with four potassium rates (0, 90, 180, 270 kg ha-1 K2O) using conventional japonica cultivars (Wuyunjing 7 and Wuxiangjing 14) and hybrid japonica cultivars (86 you 8, Siyou 422) from 2004 to 2005 on Experimental Farm of Nanjing Agricultural University, Jiangsu province, China. Potassium application increased rice yield (4.56?14.77%) and nitrogen accumulation during growth stages, with the maximum from elongation stage to heading stage, but nitrogen uptake ratio decreased. Potassium application enhanced nitrogen transport amount and percentage after anthesis, as well as nitrogen accumulation in different rice organs, nitrogen distribution percentage in leaves and panicles, whereas declined nitrogen distribution percentage in culm and sheath. Nitrogen absorption from fertilizer, basic nitrogen recovery efficiency before elongation stage, nitrogen recovery efficiency during the whole growing stage, and nitrogen harvest index were raised significantly, but plant nitrogen productivity was opposite. Grain yield, nitrogen accumula- tion, nitrogen translocation amount and percentage after anthesis, and nitrogen distribution in different rice organs amounted to the maximum at K2O application rate of 180 kg ha-1, as well as nitrogen absorption from fertilizer, basic nitrogen recovery efficiency before elongation stage, nitrogen recovery efficiency during the whole growing stage. However, nitrogen absorption percentage from elongation stage to heading stage, nitrogen distribution percentage in culm and sheath, plant nitrogen productivity decreased to the minimum. The yield and nitrogen recovery efficiency of conventional japonica cultivars were higher than those of hybrid japonica cultivars.

In order to understand the response of some physiological characteristics and yield to nitrogen levels in soybean varieties with different nitrogen photosynthetic efficiency, the study on the root activity, nitrate reductase activity, nitrogen content of leaf, chlorophyll content, net photosynthetic rate, dry weight of single plant and yield of two high-level and two low-level nitrogen photosynthetic efficiency varieties under five nitrogen levels from R2 to R6 stage was conducted. The results showed that the change in physiological characteristics and yield of four soybean varieties showed a single peak curve which were increased at the beginning and then decreased with the nitrogen levels. The comparisons of different nitrogen photosynthetic efficiency varieties released in similar years showed that the root activity, nitrate reductase activity, net photosynthetic rate, dry weight of soybean varieties with high level nitrogen photosynthetic efficiency was higher than low level varieties at low nitrogen(40-80 kg·ha-1)treatment,but it was lower than the low level varieties at high nitrogen(120-160 kg·ha-1)treatment,the differences reached extremely significant level(P0.01)at R6 stage, and they were significant(P0.05)or non-significant at R2 stage and R4 stage.Total nitrogen content and chlorophyll content in leaves of varieties with high level of nitrogen photosynthetic efficiency were significantly lower than the low level in five nitrogen levels. So the medium and low amount of nitrogen fertilizer should be applied for varieties with high nitrogen use efficiency, similarly, increasing the corresponding amount of fertilizer to apply for varieties with low nitrogen use efficiency was feasible.

A field experiment was carried out to study the effects of different nitrogen rate and ratio of base and topdressing on nitrogen uptake, accumulation, soil NO3——N contents, and leaf quality and yield. The results showed that, the effects were not obvious in dry matter accumulation amounts, nitrogen content and nitrogen accumulation amounts of different treatments in early growth stage of flue-cured tobacco, reducing nitrogen application rate and basal dosage reduced nitrogen content and nitrogen accumulation amounts in the mature leaves, and reducing nitrogen application rate made soil NO3——N contents in early and late growth stage of flue-cured tobacco decreased obviously. As the nitrogen increased, the reducing sugar contents and the ratio of total sugar to total plant alkaloid contents decreased, but total plant alkaloid and total nitrogen contents increased. The reducing sugar contents and the ratio of total sugar to plant alkaloid contents of the 30:70 of base and topdressing were larger than those of other treatments, the total plant alkaloid and total nitrogen contents were smaller, and the scent quality and aftertaste gained higher evaluation. The treatments of nitrogen rate 90 kg/ha,both of the 50:50 and 30:70 of base and topdressing increased economic value.Considering the yield, quality and the combined values, the best treatment was nitrogen rate 90 kg/ha with 30:70 of base: topdressing.

Three soybean varieties were examined to study the effects of different nitrogen application levels on nodule-forming and nitrogen concentration. Results showed that, high nitrogen application in basal fertilizer inhibited nodule-forming, and the duration of inhibiting effect varied with varieties. There existed a similar nitrogen concentration tendency among the varieties, but the peek point of the variety with longer growth period appeared later. Nitrogen application could increase the nitrogen concentration in leaves, but prolonged the maximum stage. It could also stimulate the growth of soybean, optimize the components of yield and increase the production of soybean.

For research the effects of nitrogen uptake and distribution in soybean,Using soybean cultivar‘He Feng50'in Sanjiang Plain in Heilongjiang as test materials and taking15 N tracer method for leaves nitrogen application in R5 to study the nitrogen uptake and distribution of different soybean organs. The results show that there were no signification increments in dry weight, nitrogen content and nitrogen accumulation if the nitrgen application rates were over4. 5kg·hm- 2( N3) and the percentages of soybean seeds dry weight increase over contral were 2. 51%,5. 01%,9. 55%and 0. 51%. The seeds weight had the highest value of 21. 8 g·plant- 1in 4. 5kg·hm- 2( N3) treatment. The different organs15 N accumulation were seed leaf pod petiole root under the same nitrgen application rate. The15 N accumulation of different organs were increased with the nitrgen application rates increased and the seed15 N nitrogen accumulation had the highest value of 8. 17 mg·plant- 1under the different nitrgen application rate. The15 N distribution in seeds reduce with nitrogen application rates from N1 to N3 treatment, but there was a reverse trend in leavse and the seed15 N nitrogen accumulation was increased at the same time. This research theoretically proved that the nitrogen main accumulated to the seeds when leaf nitrogen application in R5 period and in favour of the seeds dry weight accumulation and got high yield at last.

The random block design experiment of water and nitrogen with three levels each was conducted to explore the effect of water/nitrogen interaction on plant nutrients and yield of spring wheat variety Ningchun 4.The main conclusions of the study were summarized as follows:(i)Under well-watered and dry conditions, from jointing stage to heading stage, the content of total nitrogen in wheat leaves were listed as high-nitrogen(HN)middle nitrogen(MN)zero-nitrogen(CK).However,under serious dry condition, the content of total nitrogen was the highest in the middle nitrogen(MND) treatment, and the lowest in the treatment of high-nitrogen(HND),which indicated that increasing nitrogen fertilizer can improve the accumulation of nitrogen in wheat leaves.(ii) Compared with no nitrogen treatment, nitrogen application can improve accumulation quantity of phosphorus in wheat plants.Under moderate drought conditions, phosphorus contents in wheat plants in CK and middle-nitrogen treatment were detected significantly higher than high-nitrogen treatment at flowering stage;Under the serious drought conditions, the highest phosphorus was detected in the middle-nitrogen treatment at ripening stage;but at other stages, the highest phosphorus were in high-nitrogen treatment;(iii)in the same nitrogen level, potassium content in plant leaves decreased with the severity of drought stress;Under three moisture conditions, potassium content has no significant difference,But the high-nitrogen treatments had the maximum in 1000-grain weight, grains per spike and grain weight per spike.Under the condition of three nitrogen levels, the middle drought treatments had the highest value in 1000-grain weight and spike grain weight per pot.
