    Abstract:
    Based on the analysis for the bauxite resources and existing grade composite ore of two main bauxite producing area in domestic,this article introduces the distribution and exploitation of bauxite resources in China and puts forward the critical situation that the existing resources mainly are diafpore with low grade composite,difficult process,high energy consumption,advising the possibility to utilize the overseas bauxite and alternative sources.

    In recent years,our country's aluminum industry developed fast and bauxite's consumption increased year after year.A series of issue,unauthorized mining,conflict between mining enterprise and local administrative department,embarrassment of the land requisitioned for mining enterprise,shortage of alumina enterprise's resources,etc.,come forth in bauxite exploitation.In this paper,the relevant countermeasures and suggestions are brought forward,and it will be decision-making reference of and development in bauxite exploitation.

    With the rapid development of China's aluminum industry,the domestic bauxite resources gap is growing,while the domestic bauxite resources are not optimistic.Imports of foreign bauxite are also facing with the risks,such as higher costs,foreign restrictions on exports.We should develop domestic resources reasonably,improve aluminum smelting technology,to ensure the sustainable development of alumina industry.

    The article introduced the current situation of domestic aluminum industry,and the bauxite resource status in Yunnan province,inland and foreign country.It analyzed the styles of resource supply to the alumina industry in China and foreign country,and pointed out that the exploitation of bauxite resource in Yunnan province shall pay attention to the application of desilicication beneficiation technology,in order to develop the high value-added chemicals-alumina industry,combining with the comprehensive utilization of red mud produced by alumina,and use patterns of overseas' bauxite resource,so that the perfect industrial chain of bauxite-alumina-electrolytic aluminum shall be built.

    Bauxite, a rock consisting of one or more aluminum hydroxide minerals, is the principal raw material used by the aluminum industry.The types of bauxite are (1) trihydrate, consisting chiefly of gibbsite, A12O3 -3H2O; (2) monohydrate, consisting mainly of boehmite, A12O3 H2O; and (3) mixed bauxite, consisting of both gibbsite and boehmite.A variety of the monohydrate type consisting chiefly of diaspore has the same chemical composition as boehmite but is denser and harder.Diaspore bauxite is used mainly in products resistant to high temperatures, but diaspore is a major mineral in some of the bauxite from which alumina is recovered in Greece and the People's Republic of China.The aluminum industry consumes nearly 90 percent of the bauxite mined; the remainder is used in many different types of refractories, abrasives, chemicals, and miscellaneous products.Bauxite is mined mainly by open-pit methods.Most bauxite production is from laterite-type deposits at or near the surface that are mined by heavy equipment.The principal underground mines are in Europe, where much of the bauxite occurs at considerable depths.Some bauxite is beneficiated by washing out the fine-grained impurities, but much of it is merely dried before the alumina, A12O3, is recovered by the Bayer process, an alkaline leach under moderately high temperatures and pressures.Gallium is the principal byproduct of alumina production, but several other elements and materials either have been recovered in the past or are potentially recoverable.Bauxite deposits have formed chiefly by weathering of aluminous rock; some have been transported to their present locations, but most are residual accumulations from which most constituents of the parent rock other than alumina have been leached.Bauxite occurs in rocks ranging in age from Precambrian to Holocene, and many deposits in the tropics are probably still forming.Most deposits of gibbsitic bauxite are in the tropics.A few occur in the temperate belts, but the climate was probably tropical or subtropical at the time these formed.Nearly all deposits of this type are of Cenozoic age.Deposits of boehmitic bauxite occur chiefly in southern Europe, the U.S.S.R., Turkey, and the People's Republic of China.Most deposits of this type are associated with carbonate rocks of Jurassic and Cretaceous age, but a few are of Paleozoic age.Though most of these deposits are north of the tropics, they could have formed under tropical conditions.Mixed bauxites

    This article is based on the statistical analysis of the amount,type,structure,quality, spatial distribution and the utilization status of bauxite resources in Guangxi,China,focusing on the research of the bauxite resources guarantee level.It concludes that there are several main features of bauxite deposits in Guangxi,listed as follows:① Given priority to with large and medium scale,they are diaspore karst accumulation type bauxite deposits,mostly in the West Guangxi resources enrichment region which will be advantages for centralized development;② Bauxite maintain reserves proportion is as high as 94.91%,its development potential is big and it has high resource guarantee level;③ BauxiteⅠ+Ⅱ grade ore maintain reserves proportion is as high as 47.14%,and ore quality is very good;④Ore bodies are close to the surface.Ore mining is easy.The development and utilization of the mine can be of high efficiency. Finally several suggestions are put forward:A suggest that planning and layout of two aluminum industry development Economic zone in Guangxi is provide.Strengthen the aluminum production capacity control, and control the new capacity of aluminium oxide.The geological survey of the new monoblock exploration region,Sedimentary bauxite,and lateritic high iron content gibbsite-type bauxite shall be intensified.New breakthroughs of finding mineral and its commercial viability will be realized by our working hard.How to improve the level of comprehensive utilization of associated minerals and tailings.Pay more attention to develop aluminum deep processing products and the industrial chain shall be extended.

    The authors describe the existing conditions of bauxite development and utilization and the general situation of bauxite resource in Guizhou Province,analyze the major problems occurred in the development and utilization of the resource in this province and put forward some good suggestions on how to reasonably develop and utilize bauxite resource for reference by other similar mines.
