The application of fieldbus called Profibus in control system of 2×600 MW units in Huaneng Jiutai Power Plant has been presented,and matters needing to pay attention in the application of fieldbus being given.Directing against the commonly occurred problems in application of fieldbus technology in control system of units,i.e.AB wires to be inversely connected or short circuited in two cables of Profibus,short circuit of any cable to ground,incorrect setting of adress for local Y LINK or DP/PA LINK,incorrect parameter selection in control configuration etc.,solving methods have been put forward.

Fieldbus,as a network communication technology connecting instrument,controlling machine and other automatization equipments in the production worksite,is a core technology of a new generation of distributed control system.In the electricity industry,especially in the automation system of power plant,it has a bright future.This paper,considering process control in the chemical water treatment system of Zhangshan Power Plant,introduces too much application of PROFIBUS in its programmable control system,emphasizes fieldbus network structure and configuration and explains partial details in debugging and maintenance on the system.What's more,this paper also discusses the results of application and proves the superiority of fieldbus applied to power system.
