Abstract:
Based on 30 plots 102 quadrats of plant communities investigation in Karamay,using the species diversity index,richness index,evenness index and dominance index,the plant community of the area was studied.The results indicated that:the structure of the plant communities is simple and the species are fewer,the plant communities diversity level is lower.The sequence of plant communities diversity index is:Populus euphratica﹥Tamarix﹥Haloxylon ammodendron﹥Reaumuria songarica﹥Phragmites australis﹥Anabasis﹥Salsola collina﹥Halocnemum strobilaceum﹥Suaeda glauce + Ephedra﹥Halostachys caspica.With the change of water and salinity,the species diversity shows the change trend: Arbor community﹥shrub community﹥herbage community.Keywords:

Using Shannon-Wiener and Simpson's index of species diversity、Gleason and Margalef richness index、 Evenness index and Ecological dominance index to analyze the species diversity of the typical plant community in Ebinur Lake Wetland Nature Reserve.The results show:In the vertical structure,the distribution of the plant diversity is that the uniformity、 diversity and richness indexes of the arboreal and shrub species are greater than those of the herbal,but the ecological dominance index is oppositive.The overall trend shows a single plant community structure.this points out that in a number of levels,the quantity and distribution of the typical community in Ebinur Lake Wetland Nature Reserve are positive correlation with the environmental conditions.It is generally fewer plant species,low coverage and the very short supply abundance of biological resourcds in this region.

According to the different plant communities,the arbor,shrub,herb and liana plant layers were distinguished.Main plant community species diversity was studied along Taihu roadside in Wuxi Mashan National Tourist Holiday Resort,by using species richness index,Shannon-Wiener index,Simpson index and Pielou evenness index.The results showed as follows:(1)The four species diversity indices of the arbor layer and the shrub layer are interrelated.However the herb layer is different.(2)By artificial vegetation renovating,plant species diversity along the road has been more remarkably increased than non-restored spot,so that the roadsides have been protected and landscape improved.(3)The plant community in restored lake shoal has high community rate of coverage,but designed plant variety is single,so that it's species diversity is less than the non-restored.(4)Original plant community species diversity was most above average.Reasonable artificial restoration can increase biodiversity for original destroyed vegetation.(5)By several calculating methods of species diversity,the species diversity in an area can be objectively reflected.

The choice of diversity index and its measuring index of desert plants is the basis in researching theplant community species diversity. This paper chooses ten measuring indices indicating the community speciesdiversity, richness, dominance and evenness of desert plants to research the species diversity of desert plantcommunities in the peripheral regions of the Karamay Agricultural Developmental Region by taking theabundance, coverage and important value as the measuring indices. The ten indices are analyzed by usingcorrelation analysis and principal component analysis. The results are as follows: the results of species diversity,abundance, dominance and evenness of desert plant communities, measured by using the important value, aremore rational than that measured by using abundance and coverage; among the diversity indices, Shannon-Wienerdiversity index is more rational to reveal the diversity of desert plant communities; in addition, the correlationbetween the evenness index and the diversity index is higher than that between the abundance index and diversityindex, which reveals that the species diversity index of the desert plant communities with poor species is mainlyaffected by the distribution pattern of the species in the communities.

The vegetation of study area is broadly divided into four physiognomic units viz. forest, secondary forest, grasslands and artificial vegetation. Shannon's diversity index, species richness and species composition of the vegetation of study area has been worked out. A total of 944 plant species belonging to 510 genera and 130 families are reported from the study area. The diversity of the study area is 4.292. Plant species diversity in different concrete plant communities has also been determined. The species diversity of total forested area is 4.115. Among different forest stands sal forest exhibit maximum species diversity (H' = 3.530). The grasslands as a whole showed high diversity (H'=4.198) with maximum contribution of erect annual herbs. Mesic grassland show maximum species diversity (H' = 3.907) among different grassland communities. Shrubs contribute maximum to the species diversity in degenerated forest. Climbers contribute very less to the species diversity of all the communities. The study area harbours some of the rare and threatened species needing effective conservation measures. An attempt has been made to deduce the successional pattern and affinities among different plant communities.

With the method of rerefraction vurve, species richness, species diversity and evenness were analyzed in communtities of Zengziyan in Jinfo Mountain. The results are as follows: There were lower species richness, species diversity nd evenness in this region, which was nearer to the residential and which was lifs in the lower elevation. Analyze the serious degradation of plant community succession of Zengziyan was because of over-graze and denudation timber mining.

【Objective】 This paper carries research on structure of typical forest community and characteristics of species diversity in Yangjiagou,Zhouzhi Laoxiancheng Nature Reserve,to provide theoretical basis for vegetation restoration and reconstruction,biodiversity protection and cataloging.【Method】 We classified the forest community by two-way TWINSPAN,analysed the community diversity and its changes with the elevations of the gradient on species richness S,Shannon-Weiner index,Simpson,Pielou index and evenness index.【Result】 The 28 plots in research area can be divided into 9 community types;the order of the community diversity is Pinus armandii Corylus ferox+Populus purdomiiUlmus bergmannianaQuercus serrata var.brevipetiolataQuercus aliena var.acutiserrataPopulus davidiana+Betula utilisPinus tabulaeformisBetula albo-sinensisQuercus spinosa;the 9 forest communities have vegetation resources in 243 species of which pteridophyte has 4 families 4 genera 4 species,gymnosperm 2 families 4 genera 5 species,angiosperm 58 families 151 genera 234 species.Species diversity changes regularly along altitudinal gradients,which shows a rising tendency between 1 525-1 920 m,then a downtrend between 1 920-2 340 m.【Conclusion】 The forest communities in research area have been disturbed intensely by people and livestock,causing the degradation in community structure and function of ecological system and bio-diversity's reduction,so effective measures should be taken to decrease the artificial interference and damage to community structure and function of ecological system.

Species diversity of the Yukeng forest communities in Xianju County of Zhejiang Province was determined and analyzed by using the index of species richness, species diversity and community evenness. The results are given below. The communities are mainly composed of evergreen tree species under favorable conditions. The species richness and species diversity index of the woody plants are obviously greater than those of the herbs. In terms of the community's vertical structure, the species richness and species diversity index of the second layer of the woody plants are much greater than those of the first layer. The third layer of the woody plants is the greatest in relation to species richness while the herb layer is the smallest. If the species diversity index and community evenness are concerned,the second layer of woody plants is the greatest while the herb layer the smallest. The diversity indices of various la yers of the woody plants and the herb layer are to a certain degree different among the plots.

This paper studied the species diversity of forest communities in Lingnan Natural Reserve by the investigated species richness index,species diversity index and species evenness index in 4 types of the communities.The results showed that the communities restored by nature had plenty of plant species,even distribution and non-obviously dominant species;the stand restored by human had less species diversities and obviously dominant species.Species diversity indexes of different layers in the forest stands were as follows: shrub layer tree layerherb layer.
