This paper is an introduction to MATLAB for econometrics. It describes the MATLAB Desktop, contains a sample MATLAB session showing elementary MATLAB operations, gives details of data input/output, decision and loop structures, elementary plots, describes the LeSage econometrics toolbox and maximum likelihood using the LeSage toolbox. Various worked examples of the use of MATLAB in econometrics are also given. After reading this document the reader should be able to make better use of the MATLAB on-line help and manuals.

How to realize the management of the large experimental data scientifically and high efficiently is the key problem to non-paper experiments.Database technique can be used to solve the problem.A method of input and check physical experiment data utilizing MATLAB GUI function was studied in this paper.And methods of Matlab connecting to database,importing data into Matlab from a database to deal with and exporting data from Matlab to a record in a database were discussed.It is convenient to realize the fitting and visualization and intercommunication of the experimental data under GUI mode of Matlab.

This paper presents a hybrid programming method by using MATLAB engine functions to combine MATLAB and VC++,and provides an application of simulation experiment for the Automatic Control Theory course.According to this method,VC++ is used to develop the graphical user interface and MATLAB is considered as the computing and drawing engines.In this way,students will gain the key knowledge from the experiment without mastering the MATLAB programming language.

In this paper, through analyzing the characteristics of Matlab and Java, the advantages of using the Matlab interface and Java application in the area of programmers is apparent. For implementing the convenient call of Matlab functions from different platforms,a web service based encapsulation model for matlab functions is proposed.In the model,according to the automatization inferface of Matlab,Matlab software is encapsulated as a web service named Matlab_service,and the relevant functions of Matlab are encapsulated as the operations of Matlab_service,then different application systems can call Matlab functions by Matlab_service.Finally,the validity and practicalbility of the model is verified through the application of Matlab_service in the online regression analysis of real-time data for product development process.
