The chain polymeric salen schiff base metal complexes PLSBM(M:CoⅡ,MnⅡ,ZnⅡ,CuⅡ)were used as the catalyst on catalytic oxidation styrene under 1 atmospheric pressure of molecular oxygen without additive and reductant.Benzaldehyde(Ⅰ) and styrene oxide(Ⅱ) were obtained as the major products. The PLSBCuⅡ showed the better catalytic activity and products selectivity. The factors that influence the oxidation were also investigated. It was found that the conversion reached up to 61% and selectivity for Ⅰwas 57% and Ⅱwas 36% under the reaction temperature 90℃,reaction time 9h and the ratio of catalysts to styrene 1mg∶2mL.

Cobalt(II),manganese(II) and copper(II) complexes with N-hydroxyl-N-phenyl-benzoic amide was used as catalyst in 4-chloro-toluene oxidation for preparation of 4-chloro-benzoic acid. The influences of reaction temperature, catalyst concentration, adding auxiliary and different metal ion on catalytic oxidation were investigated. When cobalt complex was used as catalyst, the best reaction temperature was 140℃ and the best concentration of catalyst was 1 × 10-3 mol ·L-1.Adding NaBr and tetraethylene glycol could improve the conversion of 4-chloro-toluene in the reaction. The life of catalyst was 72 h and the catalytic efficiency of cobalt complex was 2.5 Kg product/1 g catalyst.

The pentad dentate Schiff base nickel complex is encapsulated in tile zeolite(NaX 13) with the flexible ligand route. Its catalytic activity in the oxidation styrene phenyl aldehyde with molecular oxygen is inspected and the catalytic reaction condition suitable for the encapsulated nickel complex is obtained.

Polymer-bound metalloporphyrins with polyglycol chains were synthesized and the ir catalytic performances on the oxidation of cyclohexene were investigated. The experimental results show that the synthesized manganese(Ⅱ) and cobalt(Ⅱ) porphyrins bound to chloromethylated polystyrene with polyglycol chains are eff icient catalysts for the oxidation of cyclohexene. The conversion is 88% for the oxidation of cyclohexene catalyzed by manganese(Ⅱ) porphyrin bound to chloro- methylated polystyrene. The catalytic performances of synthesized manganese( Ⅱ) and cobalt(Ⅱ) porphyrins are better than those of simple metalloporphyrins; however, the catalytic performance of polymer-bound metalloporphyrins with pha se transfer catalyst polyglycol chains are decreased.

Abstract Chitosan, a natural polymer, bound Schiff base copper complexes CT‐She‐Cu, CT‐ o ‐Bel‐Cu, CT‐ m ‐Bel‐Cu were prepared and characterize by inductively coupled plasma (ICP), FT‐IR and X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). Their catalytic activity in the oxidation of cyclohexene with molecular oxygen was studied. All the complexes have catalytic activity and the main oxidation products are 2‐cyclohexene‐ol, 2‐cyclohexene‐one and cyclohexene hydroperoxide, which were measured by gas chromatography/mass spectroscopy (GC/MS) and GC/IR. CT‐ m ‐Bel‐Cu was selected to study the influence of reaction temperature, amount of catalyst and additives such as acid and base on the oxidation of cyclohexene systematically.
