    Abstract:
Objective:To investigate the correlation among the blood plasma brain natriuretic peptide(BNP)levels and the severity of heart failure(HF)as well as left ventricular function in aged patients with heart failure. Methods:A total of 63 patients with HF and 30 control subjects were investigated by measuring the serum BNP levels and the left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF).Results:The blood plasma BNP levels in patients with HF were markedly higher than those of control subjects(P0.01),and the increase of BNP levels was closely correlated with the severity of NYHA functional class. The BNP levels were correlated negatively with the LVEF(r=-0.58,P0.001).Conclusion:The BNP level is closely correlated with the severity of HF in aged patients with heart failure.

Objective To investigate the correlation between the brain natriuretic peptide(BNP)level in serum and the severity of heart failure(HF)as well as the left ventricular function(LVF)in patients with HF.Methods 122 patients with HF before and after treatment and 20 control subjects were investigated by measuring the BNP level in serum, the left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF)and the left ventricular end-diastolic diameter(LVEDD).Results The serum BNP level in patients with HF were markedly higher than those of control group(P0.01),and the increase of BNP level was closely correlated with the severity of NYHA function class. The BNP levels were correlated negatively with the LVEF(r=-0.34,P0.001).After treatment, the LVEDD in HF patients was obviously improved(P0.05),however,the BNP level in serum was markedly decreased after treatment. Conclusion The increase of BNP levels is closely correlated with the severityof HF,further more, the BNP levels also better reflected the LVF.

Objective To study the relationship between the plasma level of B-type natriuretic peptide(BNP) and the left ventricular function in patients with coronary heart disease. Methods BNP levels in plasma of 30 nomal controls and 69 patients with coronary heart disease were measured by chemilumino-immunoassay. The ventricular function was measured by NYHA and colored doppler echocardiography. Results The BNP concentrations in control group, ventricular function (Ⅰ-Ⅱ) group and ventricular function (Ⅲ-Ⅳ) group were (31.56±21.48) μg/L, (105.52±(91.77)) μg/L and (433.18±378.03) μg/L respectively. There was statistical significance among these groups(P(0.001). The levels of plasma BNP and the left ventricular ejective fraction (LVEF) had a significant negative correlation (r=(-0.70), P0.001). BNP levels of LVEF≤40% subgroup were significantly higher than those of LVEF40% subgroup (P0.01). Conclusions BNP level reflects the left ventricular function in patients with coronary heart disease. The determination of BNP has important value in the diagnosis of early ventricular dysfunction and the evaluation of the severity of cardiac failure.

Objective To study the changes of serum BNP in elderly patients with heart failure, and to evaluate BNP in diagnosis and assessment of the value in the clinical application of senile heart failure. Methods Compared different NYHA heart function classification senile heart failure patients' serum BNP,cTn1,MYO laboratory indicators;and Studied the BNP and LVEDD,LVEF correlation. Results BNP in heart failure I group and the control group showed no significant difference(P 0.05),one of the other two groups were statistically different(P 0.05);cTn1,MYO,IV Ⅲ group, heart failure group compared with other groups was statistically significant(P 0.05);179 cases of BNP and LVEDD in elderly patients with heart failure,LVEF by the Spearman correlation analysis,LVEDD was positively correlated with BNP(r = 0.714,P 0.05),LVEF was negatively correlated with BNP(r =-0.639,P 0.05).Conclusion BNP has important clinical value in the early diagnosis of heart failure, worthy of clinical application.

Objective To investigate plasma brain natriuretic peptide(BNP) in heart failure patients,as well as the changes of the value of assessment of cardiac function. Methods Measured by Immune-fluorescence assay using 110 cases of patients with congestive heart failure(HF group) and 20 cases of healthy persons(control group) of plasma BNP concentration;use echocardiography measurement of left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF).Results BNP in heart failure group was significantly higher than control group, the difference was statistically significant(P0.01),and the BNP level increased with the higher the group in NYHA classification of heart failure;BNP levels have a statistically significant difference(P0.01) in 4 different groups of cardiac function;Comparison with the pre-treatment,each group's concentration of BNP significantly reduced after one week treatment(P0.01);BNP level and LVEF was negatively correlated, and higher plasma BNP levels increase in mortality. Conclusion Monitoring BNP level can be used as the guidance indicators of diagnosis of heart failure, cardiac function assessment as well as the efficacy and prognosis.

Objective To explore the correlation of brain natriuretic peptide level with cardiac function in order to elucidate the importance of measurement of BNP in heart failure(HF). Methods Fifty-six patients with heart failure and 52 patients controls without HF were enrolled in the study and samples of BNP,blood glucose and lipid were obtained on admission day.The plasma levels of BNP were examined by ELISA.The correlation of plasma levels of BNP with cardiac function were analyzed by SPSS for windows V10.0,statistical package. Results The plasma levels of BNP were gradually elevated with the severity of HF.The change of BNP level was negatively correlated with LVEF(P0.01).Conclusion Plasma BNP levels increase in patients with CHF,and markedly increased according to the severity of heart failure classified by NYHA classification.

Objective Plasma B-Type natriuretic peptide (BNP) was conducted asses the clinical value in the diagnosis of congestive heart failure and the relationship between BNP and ventriculai dysfunction. Methods We enrolled 127 patients with CHF. Plasma levels of B-Type natriuretic peptides (BNP) were measured and in these patients. Results The mean BNP concentration in blood samples obtained from patients with CHF was high gradually with the degree of NYHA from Ⅰ to Ⅳ. P0.01. The BNP level in patients with low left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) ≤ 0.05 were higher than in that with LVEF0.05, (P0.01). The BNP level in patients with high left ventricular end-diastolic diameter (LVEDD) ≥60mm was higher than in that with low LVEDD60mm, P0.01. Conclusions BNP plasma level is a good marker to left ventricular function.

To investigate the correlation between brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) and the cardiac function in patients with heart failure(HF), the plasma level of BNP was determined by IRMA and the left cardiac function parameters were measured on echocardiogram in patients with different grade of HF. The results showed that the plasma level of BNP elevated with the worsening of heart failure (NYHA classification). The plasma levels of BNP were negatively correlated with left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) and left ventricular end-diastolic diameter (LVDd). The plasma level of BNP increases significantly along with the severity of HF classified by NYHA, and might be a biochemical parameter for evaluating the left ventricular function.

Objective To investigate the correlative relationship of the level of brain natriuretic peptide (BNP), the severity of heart failure (HF), and the left ventricular function in patients with heart failure. Methods BNP levels of 140 patients with HF were measured by ELISA.Colored doppler echocardiography was performed to measure the left ventricular function. Results BNP levels increased with increment of degree of severity of heart failure according to the NYHA classification, and this was negatively correlated with left venticular ejection fraction ( LVEF,r= -0.35,P 0.001). Multi-factors analysis showed that NYHA and LVEF were factors influencing BNP.Conclusion BNP levels increased with the degree of severity of heart failure, and can better reflect the left ventricular function.
