Abstract:
This paper used a kind of way to remote virtual DCS monitor.It followed the OPC standard using the visual basic as development tool and based on existing DCS monitor and control system.The design is connected with the process data and remote client terminal with Winsock.It uses communication technologies complementary methods of Winsock and the OPC server,in addition uses the principle of complementary advantages of POWERBUILDER data management technology,then avoid the harsh requirements of the configuration procedures on the system conditions.It resolves the problem of data management with little cost and realize the remote monitor of process data in field.Keywords:

Recently, it is of great interest to apply OPC technology to intelligent building management system (IBMS). An intelligent building management system model based on OPC technology is described in this paper. In this model we place much weight on the OPC client communicating to OPC server over OPC interfaces based on OPC specifications. And the integrating platform administrates the whole system by communicating to subsystems directly while communicating to field devices indirectly.

<span>This paper proposes an improved control and monitors between two different PLCs, the Mitsubishi, and Omron. The main advantage is interoperability and communication between both PLC. The use of NI OPC server as the software interface reached interoperability and communication. There were developed two field applications to test interoperability. Laboratory virtual instrument engineering workbench (LabVIEW) uses as the software application for creating the user interface to control and monitor. This improvement show OPC server technology solves data compatibility issue between different driver controller’s and reducing development cost. Regardless of whether there are more than two different PLCs, it's enough to use the NI OPC server. So the benefit of the NI OPC server is not limited to two types of PLC used right now but can also use the other manufacturers. Besides, the improvement of the previous study is the use of the LabVIEW makes data from the OPC server displayed more realistic. The use of LabVIEW allows additional monitoring functions, one of which is LabVIEW vision. Data utilization becomes more flexible, and so it can use for more complex purposes. It is envisaged that this is very useful for Integrator engineer to implement this method in industrial automation</span>

This study deals with the data exchange issues based on object linking and embedding for process control (OPC) server in industrial automation systems. OPC server is a software developed to solve the driver device problem, where the first-tier visualization and supervisory control and data acquisition (scada) applications needed to have a standard way for reading and writing data from devices on the factory floor in process control. In this paper, the aim of the study was to control the water tank filling system through the programmable logic controller (PLC) and to observe the procedure by the help of SCADA The connection between the PLC and SCADA is maintained by the OPC server. With OPC server, the exchange of digital and analogue data obtained from sensors in the system can be realized with low cost and maximum performance. This paper illustrates the use of OPC server in industrial automation systems and the necessary PLC algorithms. A practical application of the design of the system is described.

The OPC technology provides a standard interface in the field of industrial control,achieves data communication between OPC servers and client applications,and solves the problem of compatibility between various device drivers. The electrical data acquisition system based on this technology adopts RS-485 to realize hardware connection and uses OPC server software to realize communication between different equipment. Finally,VB program is used to acquire electrical energy data and generate reports. This system is highly adaptable to actual application and can perform its design functions and realize automated data acquisition.
