Abstract:
This paper analyses two evaluating indicators: the starting jerk and the friction work in clutch engaging process.The clutch engaging displacement and speed are considered as the controlled parameters and the engaging method of fast-slow-fast is obtained based on analyzing the clutch launching engagement process and the SRV AMT test data.At the end,the paper points out the crucial control phase and the control method for the clutch launching.Keywords:

Control of Clutch is important on the development of Automated Mechanical Transmission (AMT). The course of clutch engaged is studied to solve the problem of clutch control. Mathematical model of Clutch work is constructed. The friction work and the jerk degree of clutch are studied. And a simulation software is developed, which can calculate the friction work and the jerk degree. The characteristic curve of clutch can be gotten by using the simulation software. The software is helpful to the development of automated clutch.

The control of the clutch engagement for an automatic mechanical transmission in the process of a tracklayer getting to start is studied. The dynamic model of power transmission and automatic clutch system is developed. Using tools of Simulink, the transient characteristics during the vehicle starting, including the jerk and the clutch slip time, are provided here. Based on the analyses of the simulation results and driver's experiences, a fuzzy controller is designed to control the clutch engagement. Simulation results verify its value.

The basic structure of ISG hybrid electric vehicle(HEV)and the function of saving energy clutch were introduced.Based on the dynamics analysis of the clutch engaging process,the formula of jerk degree was deduced.Analyzing the 4 phases of the clutch engaging process,the control principle of the clutch engagement speed was summed up.This method was applied to study Jingang HEV.It is proven that changing the clutch engagement speed can reduce the degree of jerk.

The clutch engagement control of Automated Mechanical Transmission (AMT) system is the key issue in the development of AMT.The paper analyzed the clutch engagement process during starting.Fuzzy control is used to control the speed and degree of clutch engagement based on throttle and engine speed during starting,and the jerk and slipping work are considered as criteria. The vehicle actually testing result was satisfied.

Aimed at the problem that the robustness of clutch engaging control of AMT for starting is poor due to the attrition of clutch,the change of working temperature,the change of vehicle load,the change of traffic conditions and so on,we proposed a method of engaging control of AMT clutch for starting based on speed feedback,made speed as the target of clutch engaging control.According to the input of accelerator pedal,the AMT controller generated the target speed of starting process,detected the change of the speed in real-time,adjusted the engaging speed and engagement dynamically with fuzzy control method according to the error of real speed and target speed,to make real speed track the target speed and change gently.It improves the robustness of clutch engaging control of AMT for starting.

Based on improvement of the traditional heavy vehicle clutch driving mechanism,a kind of new hydraulic control and gas power-assistance clutch automatic control system was designed.Systematic structure and the principle of work were analyzed.The system simulation model was established.The control algorithm was formulated.Control performance of clutch engagement process was analyzed and simulated.Experiment of clutch control was performed on the AMT heavy vehicle.The results indicate that the hydraulic control and gas power-assistance clutch automatic control system can realize the control of clutch engaging position and the clutch engaging speed effectively.It has advantages of small overshoot and quick response of speed and so on which can satisfy the clutch control requirement of AMT system.

Based on the influence factor of the clutch engage speed of dual-clutch transmission during vehicle launching, improving the vehicle launching quality as principle, throttle and throttle rate as the fuzzy controller input for two clutches engaging intensity and shifting during vehicle launching has been established, the rotational speed of clutch and the rate as the fuzzy controller input for the clutch engage speed has been designed. Taken Chang'an vehicle as an example and carried on simulation analysis, simulation result indicated that adopted clutch fuzzy control strategy in this text design can improve vehicle starting quality effectively of dual-clutch transmission vehicle.

A method is explored to realize automatic control of starting clutch. The clutch control requirements are determined based on the dynamics characteristics research of an unmanned helicopter clutch, and the analysis of clutch engagement process effect on transmission impact and belts life. The rotating speed of clutch driving pulley and driven pulley are selected as basic input parameters. The starting clutch engagement control is divided into three stages. The three stages are fast engagement before rotor rotates, slow engagement and fast engagement after synchronization in turn. Subsection algorithm is adopted in fast engagement before rotor rotates. PID algorithm is adopted in slow engagement. The automatic control of starting clutch engagement at various operating conditions is realized in this way. The experimental results indicate that this control strategy can fit the changes of clutch parameters. It is proved that this clutch control strategy has met the autonomous control requirements of unmanned helicopter.

Based on the analysis of two clutches in the joint at the same time for dual-clutch transmission during vehicle launching,throttle and throttle rate as the fuzzy controller input for two clutches engaging intensity and shifting during vehicle launching is established,to improve the vehicle launching quality.And the fuzzy controller with the clutch rotational speed difference and the change rate of clutch engagement speed as input is also designed.Taking Changan vehicle as research object in the case study,the simulation analysis is carried out.The simulation results indicate that the adopted clutch fuzzy control strategy can improve the starting and shifting quality of dual-clutch transmission vehicle effectively.
