    Abstract:
    The paper has analyzed uses the light single wobbling pole caving supports in longwall top-coal caving mining by the large-scale finite element software ANSYS.According to the stress of the support and distribution situation of variation in shape,the paper has drawn some beneficial conclusions.It is much meaning to improve and optimize the type of support and the suited equipments,and increases reliability of caving powered support.

    The degree of difficulty of top coal caving of roadway sub level caving mining in steep seam is synthetically influenced by many factors such as intensity of coal, mining depth, coal seam thickness, pitch, roof and floor, parting and miscellaneous mining condition. On the basis of analysis of the experience and statistical data on the test and mining examples of roadway sub level caving in steep seam, the evaluation functions of the factors influencing the degree of difficulty of top coal caving are structured and the grey fuzzy evaluation model is established. The application of examples shows that the model is accurate and simple, and plays an important part in the design and production management of roadway sub level caving mining in steep seam.

    Since the middle of 1980's, the longwall top-coal caving technique has developed rapidly in China. At present, it is one of the main approaches in the thick coal seam mining. This paper describes some mechanics problems of the caving technique, such as the damage and failure of the top-coal, the strata behaviors in the caving face, and the relation of the support and the surrounding rock. In order to employ the caving technique in a widespread scope, the problems such as the caving technique in the hard coal seam, the moving and running of the loose top-coal,and the upper floating of the gas etc. should be systematically studied.

    Light top-coal caving hydraulic support is one of the main equipment in light top-coal caving face,the reasonable and reliable support type determined the safe and effective production of light top-coal caving face.According to the coal seam occurrence characteristics of thick and high gas in one mine,through theoretical calculation and analysis in the basis of the roof and floor classification of coal seam,the light top-coal caving support type that is suitable for the high gas and thick coal seam was selected.

    By analyzing seam thickness and seam hardness, the authors think that it is feasible for seam 3# to apply longwall top-coal caving mining. The equipments used in working face can be small sized and light-type. The paper points out that it is key technology for longwall top-coal caving mining to improve caving ability of top coal, to increase recovery ratio of top coal, and to control gas.

    according to the practice of longwall with top-coal caving mining in deep coal seams of China, considering the comprehensive conditions of relatively thinner thick coal seams with more faults, high variation of coal thickness and small cross-section of the present mine workings and not intense strata behavior, the paper technically analyzes and discusses .adaptability of light-duty caving support and demonstrates its reasonable support type. Its application is validated at last.
