A method for generating chaotic spread-spectrum sequences based on the combined chaotic map is proposed. An optimized selection algorithm based on the property requirement of spread-spectrum sequences and the performance index of multiple access interference is also presented. Simulation is performed for the optimized chaotic sequence, and an optimized logistic sequence is applied to a direct sequence spread-spectrum CDMA system under different channel conditions. The results show that the chaotic spread-spectrum sequences generated by the proposed method have similar performance as the logistic spread-spectrum sequences and have better security.

Chaotic pseudo-noise (PN) sequences for spread spectrum (SS) communications ranks amongst the most promising applications of chaos to communications. Of special interest is the use of chaotic sequences for frequency-hopping and direct-sequences spread spectrum communications. In this paper, a chaos-based sequence generator with the multidimensional chaotic system is designed. Some modifications are introduced to the n-dimensional nonlinear digital filters in order to improve the period and distribution property of the resulted sequence. The property of chaotic sequences that are generated is similar to that of pseudo-noise sequence. Test results show that the property of chaotic sequences that are generated by the proposed generator is accordant with those in theory

A novel generation method of s pread-spectrum sequences based on spatiotemporal chaotic model-OCML driven by Chua's circuit has been introduced in this paper. The good features of autocorre lation and crosscorrelation of this sequence are also testified. The simulation result shows that it has good spread-spectrum properties and meets the demand o f spread-spectrum sequence in the spread-spectrum communication systems.

It was suggested that the nonbinary nature of chaotic spreading sequences could result in an improvement in the low probability of intercept (LPI) performance of chaotic direct-sequence spread-spectrum (DSSS) signals. In this paper, the structure of two intercept receivers for chaotic DSSS signals, namely, four-level and optimal receivers, are derived and a performance comparison between the proposed receivers and the binary-correlating receiver - which does not exploit the multilevel character of chaotic sequences - is provided.

A method of Direct Sequence Spread-Spectrum(DS/SS)communication based on synchronized spatiotemporal chaotic sequences is proposed. We use Coupled Logistic Maps(CLM)to generate the chaotic times sequences. This coupled map lattices ahs long chaotic transient and can be recovered easily. The robustness and the error probability is discussed and the advantage of the method in spectral spreading and secure communication is demonstrated.

This paper analyzed a distinguishingly one-dimensional chaotic map, and then by adjusting the parameter of the map, the sequences using spread spectrum watermarking were obtained. Compared with Chebyshev chaotic sequences, the sequences show the lowpass characteristic well. Taking the sequences as the spread spectrum sequences of watermark can enhance the watermarking system's performance to resist the compression, and maintain the security. The simulation results show that the performance to resist the compression is related with the chaotic model in the chaotic spread watermarking.

This paper proposes a communication ranging integration technology based on parallel combined spread spectrum to improve the performance of the spread spectrum communication ranging composite system. Combining the advantages of parallel combined spread spectrum technology in transmitting information, it not only improves the information quantity and information rate transmitted by the system, but also uses the extended sequence information to correct the error of the communication ranging system and improve the stability of the system.

Abstract Aimed at the shortcomings of one-dimensional chaotic sequences as spread spectrum address codes in DS/SS(Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum) communication system, such as low complexity, simplicity of generation and easy to be estimated backwards, etc, an improved chaotic sequence is proposed, which is composed of two one-dimensional chaotic maps and the fractal parameter of one map is controlled to control the fractal parameter of another map in a certain mathematical form. Then the performance analyses of the sequence are carried out from the angles of complexity, correlation, randomness and anti-interference ability. The results of simulation show that the improved chaotic sequence not only improves the complexity obviously, but also has good correlation and randomness, and the anti-interference ability in DS/SS communication is more prominent.

Using MATLAB simulation platform, the modeling and simulation of DS-CDMA system based on chaotic spread spectrum are carried out.In the situation of this system model, the simulation analyses are carried out for the balanced state, using three kinds of different chaotic spread spectrum sequences(Logistic, the balance of Tent,Chebyshev),and for error code performance of the corresponding CDMA spread spectrum communication system. The simulation result indicated that the choice of chaotic spread spectrum sequences has certain influence on the system performance.
