    The advantage of using RFID technology is gaining much attention as is seen by an increase in its deployment. However, this pervasive use of RFID tags opens up the possibility for various attacks violating user privacy. This work describes simple, inexpensive, and untraceable mutual identification protocols based on modular exponentiation for RFID tags. The proposed authentication mechanism is a low-cost but high-security for protecting consumer's information in RFID tag against unwanted read-attacks. We analyzed with issues of the security and privacy of RFID systems. This paper also showed the 8-bit architecture of a low-power and low die-size implementation of modular exponentiation. The 8-bit modular exponentiation implementation has a chip area of less than 1 K gates and the encryption of 64 bits requires about 1000 clock cycles. The executing time of the proposed protocol would range from 12.36 ms to 20.6 ms, with 6-8 tags authenticated per second.

    The number of available Semantic Web tools has increased fastly over the last three years. However, currently available Semantic Web tools present a very strong limitation: almost all of them are designed to work with only one or a very few layers of the Semantic Web architecture. Despite functionalities of some layers of the Semantic Web architecture are not yet standardized, namely higher layers, there is a need for a new generation of Semantic Web tools integrating the functionalities of several layers, namely standardized layers, in order to be easily used by web users without a deep knowledge of the Semantic Web. This paper proposes the architecture and describes the implementation details of a new Semantic Web tool called Semantic Web editor integrating ontologies and semantic annotations with Resource Description Framework (SWedt). This tool integrates the majority of functionalities of fully standardized and just standardized layers of the Semantic Web architecture and allows the easy creation of Semantic Web documents by web users.

    The web presents an autonomous evolution that could be optimised having moved towards a more formalised semantic. Web 2.0 and the Semantic Web are approaches that target the improvement of the web through mechanisms for sharing information and resources. This document argues that Web 2.0 is not an immature stage of the Semantic Web but an orthogonal dimension of another web aspect, the semantic. Unfortunately, both dimensions are not independent; the more developed a semantic representation of a system is, for being more useful for the Semantic Web, the more distant it is to the Web 2.0. A semantic system highly formalised is less intuitive and less usable for users. The different possible evolutions are: the convergence of both webs, their coexistence and the autonomous evolution of the social web towards other semantic solutions. In order to enable a real Social Semantic Web, eight proposals are sited and discussed.
