This paper expounds the internalization and externalization of ideological and political education, the dialectical relations between internalization and externalization, and the significance of realizing the unity of internalization and externalization pertinence. It illustrates that improving the ideological and political education should be adequately, comprehensively and identically reflected in the two stages of ideological and political education of the internalization and externalization, and it is the prerequisite to achieve the effectiveness of ideological and political education.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to analyse the consequences of externalization from the perspective of the employees. The paper contributes to this line of research by examining how externalization influences internal employees’ perceptions of flexibility. Design/methodology/approach – The hypotheses were tested with data collected from 249 internal workers in five organizations. To contrast the hypotheses, the paper used hierarchical regression analysis. Findings – The results of the study indicate that externalization has a negative and significant effect on the climate of flexibility among internal workers. These negative consequences decrease in a context of group potency, but increase among employees with greater supervisory responsibility. Originality/value – The results obtained add evidence to the small body of theoretical research that has studied the negative effects of externalization on internal employees’ perceptions.

ABSTRACT The development of a theory for explaining why firms externalize producer services functions is critical to gaining a better understanding of why the producer services industries have enjoyed robust growth within the United States, Canada and the European Community. Scholars of the service economy have attempted to develop explanations for the externalization of producer services functions. These explanations constitute “the externalization debate” since there has been a lack of consistency and agreement as to how and why externalization is taking place. None of the explanations for externalization approach what could be termed a theory of producer services externalization, since they consist of empirical generalizations that are not deductively connected. This paper attempts to move one step toward the development of such a theory by constructing a more comprehensive and systematic conceptual approach to analyzing the extemalization of producer services functions. The motivating factors for externalization that are proposed in the externalization debate are systematically examined. The insights of the transaction cost and production subcontracting literatures are then discussed and the implications of these literatures for producer services externalization are examined. A synthesis of the insights provided by these research literatures is then used to develop a more comprehensive analytical framework for examining producer services extemalization.

The present authors maintain that the internalization and the externalization phases in moral cultivation, which by itself is an independent process, are interrelated and their interrelation deserves close examination for the establishment of the principles and methods of moral cultivation.

The relatives' appellations in China are comparatively complex.Since some appellations are not only used for addressing relatives, but also used as social address terms which are used to address non-relatives.Based on the analyses of the phenomenon, appellation externalization is considered to be influenced by social factors and communicative factors. To meet the needs of communication, the externalization will be more widely used.

It is a common, although virtually unsubstantiated, practice to assess the efficacy of nonthoracotomy lead systems for implantable Cardioverter defibrillators using a defibrillator paddle as mimic for the subcutaneous patch lead. We report a case in which an adequate defibrillation threshold was documented with the nonthoracotomy lead system using a defibrillator paddle but not following implantation of the true subcutaneous patch lead. This case suggests that the substitution of a defibrillator paddle for the subcutaneous patch lead during nonthoracotomy lead system evaluation may have significant limitations in assessing lead configuration efficacy.
