Abstract:
Construction Supply chain management comprised of the network of organization involved in the different processes and activities which produce the material, components and services that come together to design, procurement and deliver a building. It also consists of different organizations involved in the construction process including client/owner, designer, contractor, subcontractor and suppliers. This paper shall present on the implementation of supply chain management in construction and the effectiveness of practicing SCM in construction site. A field study is done from the viewpoint of contractor and consultant then analysed by using average index methods and presented in a statistical analysis. From the analysis, it reveals that effectiveness of practicing the SCM give a lot of good performances and granted benefits to contractor. The statistical analysis produced first ranking effectiveness of SCM is can minimize waste of material and labor for construction project. Keywords:

The construction industry is one of the sectors contributing to the Malaysian economy and is regarded as an important component of the Malaysian economy. At the same time, as the number of building projects rises, the amount of waste created by building projects also increases, which also has many negative effects on the environment and public health. To reduce the amount of waste created by construction projects, waste must be properly handled and effective practices in the management of construction waste must be implemented in all construction industries. This research paper aims to answer these problems above in order to: 1) to investigate the relationship between formalization structure and construction waste management in Pahang construction industries; and 2) to investigate the relationship between centralization structure and construction waste management in Pahang construction industries. Data were obtained from 107 respondents among construction companies in Pahang. The PLS-SEM technique was used to test both the measurement and structural models in this analysis. The outcome shows that there is an important connection between the formalization structure and the management of construction waste among the construction companies operating in Pahang. The structure of centralization and waste management for construction was also found to be positively associated in this study.

The significant growth in the construction industry has been a bit of a serious issue for most developing countries like Malaysia. Along with construction’s growth, the increase of building materials used also adding waste to the construction site. Thus, the practices of construction waste management must be done by the organization, especially for the construction sectors. This research was a study about the construction waste management practices in the construction site. This research aims to study the types of construction waste in the construction site, the construction waste management practice in the construction site, and the differences between construction waste management in the construction site. Furthermore, this research was focusing on the analysis of the video that especially on construction waste management practices in the construction site. Moreover, the five of the video analysis was picked through the opened source internet which showing to the construction waste management in the construction site. The research design for this research was technical research which analyzed video as a material in data collection using the checklist form to help the researcher to obtain the data. The result for this study shows that the types of construction wastes were made from woods, metals, concrete, and other wastes (drywall, plastics, cardboard, papers, glasses, the product can, etc) and bricks, the practices of construction management in construction site were shown the high levels in practicing the construction waste management practices in the construction site was prevention and reduction, reuse, recycle and disposal, the differences between the construction management was the storage of building materials, construction waste segregation, scheduled construction waste collection, and the construction waste disposal. In conclusion, the study of the construction waste management practices by using video could be a guideline as to the effectiveness of the construction waste management practices in the construction site.

Malaysia is a country that has increased thriven. This development led to the development of various sectors in the country. It can be seen that the construction industry in the country is fast growing.Yet despite the buoyant construction industry, which generated a lot of construction waste, construction waste has an impact on the environment Management of construction waste into a very important function of manage project construction site.Various approaches in managing construction waste have been made and studies have been done about it, but once the implementation of construction waste at construction sites still less practiced among the management of the construction site. The aim of this study was to find out in general about the factors hindering the process of construction waste management in
Alor Star and construction waste management practices that take place at the construction
site.

Within the total quality management (TQM) philosophy of continuous improvement, adding greater value, improving quality, reducing costs and reducing construction schedules are no longer mutually exclusive customer requirements. These demands are forcing changes in management approaches in the construction industry. It is now recognised that such gains in efficiency cannot be achieved by companies acting independently. This awareness has drawn attention to the concepts of `supply chain management`. Findings of research performed to investigate materials supply chain management practices by the top UK contractors are reported. While there is evidence pointing to a trend towards supply chain integration, it is revealed that entrenched practices and attitudes among UK contractors still impede full supply chain integration in the supply of construction materials.

This research study aspires to improve the Construction Waste Management problems in the Malaysia construction industry. The vast development in Malaysia has caused the Construction Industry to generate tons of construction waste. All the construction parties such as Employers, Architects, Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, Contractors and the like are supposed to be responsible for the construction waste generated during construction because they are professionals. However, it seems like Malaysia is still weak in managing construction waste and Construction Waste Management is often not considered by Malaysia construction projects during the early stage of the construction project. It is very confusing to the construction parties and causes the problems of Construction Waste Management to remain unresolved. Thus, it is important to study this topic in order to identify the problems. Objectives were designed to aid in the accomplishment of the aim of this study.
Next, the literature of Construction Waste Management in the past are minimal and insufficient. The past studies are only focusing on the type of construction waste being generated during construction. It can be from the construction of the residential development, commercial development or any other development which contributes to the generation of the construction waste. Therefore, this research study will benefit the small amount of the literature and thus improve the Construction Waste Management problems in Malaysia.
Furthermore, the adopted research method is Quantitative Research. This is because it is more scientific and it suits this research study. A large amount of data will be gathered and then analysed statistically to answer the research questions. Quantitative Research

has more control because the researchers can decide how the data are gathered. and causes this research study to use Survey Questionnaires. The Survey Questionnaires consist of a few sections to be answered by the respondents. It ranges from the background of the respondents to the opinion of the respondents in Construction Waste Management. The results will then be analysed using IBM SPSS STATISTICS 24. This is because SPSS will be more efficient in analysing the Survey Questionnaires. SPSS is capable of handling large amounts of data and can perform all of the analyses used in this research study. The result of the Survey Questionnaires shown in SPSS has been identified using Scatterplot and Multiple Linear Regression. It shows a trend between the independent variables and the dependent variables. Some of the results show positive and some show negative result. The result will be reviewed and be presented in the last chapter of this book followed by the recommendations to take actions and for future study. Lastly, this result will mitigate the Construction Waste in Malaysia when Construction Waste Management is adopted in the future.

Waste management is a major area of concern for construction industries around the world. As the general public becomes more environmentally aware, waste management policies need to be evaluated with a view to making them more effective. With the number of environmental friendly construction projects on the increase, this study examines the attitude towards recycling on construction projects in contextual and applicational issues within Toronto, Canada. A number of theoretical factors causing waste and restricting construction projects from recycling are examined, and the current state of the Toronto construction industry is investigated by conducting a questionnaire survey of key personnel working in the field of construction project management. The aim is to determine what restricts construction sites from recycling and what would create incentives for this to become a more popular practice. The study found that compared with construction industries in other parts of the world, the Toronto construction industry is doing relatively well in terms of recycling and waste management. This paper can provide references for effective implementation of waste management in construction.

This paper discusses the application of logistics and supply chain management in material supply of opening laboratory, from the angle of microcosmic logistics and corporation logistics. It puts forward the models of logistics and supply chain management in material supply of opening laboratory. The aim is to supply the multifunctional and integrative services in experimentation for teachers and students. At the same time, by optimizing the logistics and supply chain management, the cost in experimentation can be reduced, and the reacting speed to the requirement from teachers and students can be improved.
