This paper takes the 500 kV Dehong compact-type transmission line as the example to analyze the possible conductor type,conductor splitting spacing and conductor arrangement.The internationally accepted and verified computation methods are adopted to study the maximum electric potential gradient of conductor surface and radio interference under different conditions of conductor arrangement,conductor type and the conductor splitting spacing in high altitude localities.According to the calculation results,the conductor arrangement,conductor type and conductor splitting spacing are determined which are suit for radio interference level.

In this paper, the research on ACSR temperature of broken strand and fatigue damage after broken strand is carried out. Conduct modeling and Analysis on the conductor through Ansoft Maxwell software. The distribution of magnetic force lines in the cross section of the conductor after strand breaking and the temperature change law of the conductor with the number of broken strands are analyzed. A model based on electromagnetic theory is established to analyze the distribution of magnetic lines of force in the cross section of the conductor after strand breaking and the temperature variation law of the conductor with the number of broken strands. The finite element analysis results show that with the increase in the number of broken strands, the cross-sectional area of the conductor decreases, the magnetic line of force of the inner conductor at the broken strand becomes denser and denser, and the electromagnetic loss of the conductor becomes larger and larger. Therefore, the temperature of the conductor at the broken strand becomes higher and higher. Then, the current carrying experiment of conductor is carried out for LGJ-240/30 conductor. It is found that the temperature rise at the junction of inner and outer layers at the broken strand is particularly obvious, and the temperature of inner aluminum conductor at the broken strand also increases with the increase of broken strand. According to the analysis of experimental data, with the increase of broken strands, the antivibration ability and service life of the conductor decrease. At the same time, under certain conditions of broken strand, the fatigue life of conductor increases with the increase of temperature.

This paper presents the structure and material properties of aluminum conductor composite core(ACCC),compares the main material performances of ACCC conductor and traditional ACSR conductor with approaching diameter,plots the stress-sagged curves of two kinds of conductor.And then the sag and stress of two kinds of conductor are compared under the highest temperature.The results show that cross-sectional area,maximum operating temperature and current carrying capacity of ACCC conductor are higher than ACSR conductor;while the sag of ACCC is obviously lower than ACSR conductor.In the actual engineering,the superiority of low sag of ACCC conductor can obviously reduce the height of the tower and cut down the cost of lines.

By calculating self-induced coefficient of cylindrical conductor, conical conductor, hemisphere conductor and elliptical conductor, this paper found it had nothing to do with the shape of conductor. Therefore, thep aper proved any non-rotating hollow conductor inductance had no relationship with the thickness and shape ofc onductor.

An experiment was performed to investigate quenches of superconducting wires caused by conductor motions. In the experiment, the disturbance energies of conductor motions causing quenches were measured. The conductor moved in a series of step motions, which was demonstrated by the acoustic emission (AE) measurement. A disturbance where the conductor moved at three spacers caused a quench, whereas a conductor motion at one spacer did not trigger a quench. Experimental data are compared to the values derived from the theory, which quantitatively estimate the size of the conductor motion. The theory estimates the disturbance energy quite well.
