The purpose of this study has been to conduct an energy diagnosis research of the third level. An energy diagnosis is a tool aimed to seek improvements related to measures of energy efficiency and saving, and environmental conservation as well. These improvements would prove to be relevant for any kind of building. The diagnosis was carried out in 36 university buildings (Renewable Energy Institute—REI) through survey and census; that in order (to identify and) to characterize current patterns of energy consumption and demand, as well as for generating specific strategies towards energy efficiency and saving, for instance the identification of systemic indicators and corrective proposals, and non-financial investment. The results promote the achievement of grand energy efficiency. The task on energy conservation entails the supporting participation of each person who either studies or works in the entity, whereas some other activities require economic stimulus for being implemented. Annual per capita energy consumption in the REI is 40 kWh/person: that is greater than the country’s average consumption rate. The main energy consumption corresponds to Building 3.1 (49% of total energy consumption). This is due to its large concentration of laboratories specialized in renewable energy research and innovation.

Energy generated from either conventional or non-conventional resources are generally not fully utilized in efficient way results in overconsumption, reduced energy efficiency & increased cost. Effective energy scheduling through energy audit results in smart & efficient energy consumption. Energy auditing had been conducted based on one year KWH consumption in KIET Group of Institutions Ghaziabad and various recommendations through this paper will be necessarily helpful for all educational buildings to minimize energy consumption & improving energy conservation.

Energy audit is a primary study that identifies energy use among various services and provides opportunities for energy conservation. Energy auditing is an integral part of energy conservation and energy management is also part of conservation. It is an initial study in establishing an energy management programme. This paper reviews the initial attempts to understand the energy consumption patterns in a residential building and to reduce the energy consumptions. A case study is included to investigate the reduction in energy consumption per unit in order to make building energy efficient. A feasibility study is done to check the increase in construction cost to gain energy efficiency credits for LEED certification. Payback calculations are done to understand the Investments required and hence feasibility is confirmed.

Building energy performance analysis is a study to improve the energy efficiency of a building by determining the highest contributing factors towards energy consumption and proposing the energy conservation measures. This study is conducted to analyze the energy performance of a commercial building in the north Peninsular Malaysia. Low performance design of a building during the early stages could cause the inefficient usage of energy and decrease the thermal comfort. This research aims to analyze the highest energy consumption factor of a medium rise commercial building and identify the energy conservation measures that could contribute to energy saving without affecting the thermal comfort. Energy modeling using simulation tools is used to predict the energy consumption in the building and simulates some designs as strategies of energy saving. Thermal analysis also been done to obtain best practices of energy conservation measures. The study is able to come with designs that contribute towards significant of energy savings up to 52.82% and 36.44% in terms of Building Energy Index or Energy Usage Intensity and Annual Cooling Energy respectively.

The paper analyzes current researches on energy saving and evaluation of energy efficiency as well as the status of their applications. Based on the in-depth analysis and detailed study on energy consumption and energy efficiency, this paper put forward the concept of target energy and the concepts of working energy consumption, early energy consumption and extended energy consumption, expounding their relationship meanwhile; gives definition of working energy efficiency and extended energy efficiency, as well as makes detailed research and mathematical analysis on their physical meaning and essential law. On the basis of those indexes, a new evaluation system for the effect of energy saving measures is established, after which the practical calculation and application of extended energy consumption and extended energy efficiency are expounded, using the example of upgrading the rural power grids. The new evaluation system established in the paper can reflect the overall energy-saving effect more scienctifically and actually, leading to new recognization of energy-saving measures' factual effect. And it is conducive to promote new ideas and new indexes for more perfect evaluation of energy saving. Also, the new evaluation system has some significance to guiding energy-saving measures and optimizing the effect of energy saving to an extent, conducive to the progress of energy-saving technology and the improvement of energy-saving level.

Solar energy has experienced phenomenal growth in recent years due to both technological improvements resulting in cost reductions and government policies supportive of renewable energy development and utilization. The Energy efficiency is achieved when energy intensity in a specific product, process or area of production or consumption is reduced without affecting output, consumption or comfort levels. Promotion of energy efficiency will contribute to energy conservation and therefore integral part of energy conservation promotional policies. It provides additional economic value by preserving the resource base and reducing pollution.
The outcome of learning (during 25thto 30thJuly,2019) in “NATIONAL WORKSHOP CUM INDUSTRIAL TRAINING PROGRAMME ON SOLAR AND OTHER RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES proposes following:
The Energy Efficiency is achieved when energy intensity in a specific product, process or area of production or consumption is reduced without affecting output, consumption or comfort levels. Promotion of energy efficiency will contribute to energy conservation and is therefore integral part of energy conservation promotional policies. Energy Audit is the key to a systematic approach for decision making in the area of Energy Management. It attempts to balance the total energy inputs with its use, and serves to identify all the energy streams in a facility. It quantifies energy usage according to its discrete functions.
