Abstract:
In 110 well-trained participants of a 1000-km running competition lasting for 20 days hematological parameters, iron metabolism, and their respective changes during the race were investigated. Thirty-nine men and 11 women were accustomed to wholesome vegetarian food (lacto-ovovegetarian), 52 men and 8 women consumed a conventional western diet. In each group 50% of the runners finished the race. Keywords:

We examine gender and race differences in education-mortality trends among 25–64-year-olds in the United States from 2001 to 2018. Relationships are heterogeneous by race and education, with larger mortality reductions for less educated non-Hispanic Blacks than for other races and mixed results at higher levels of schooling. Drug overdoses represent the single most important contributor to increased death rates for all groups, but the magnitudes vary sharply. Cardiovascular disease, cancer, and HIV are the most significant sources of mortality rate reductions, with heterogeneous patterns again by sex, race, and educational attainment. Examining specific causes of death can provide a more nuanced understanding of the health shocks affecting population subgroups.

We examine gender and race differences in education-mortality trends among 25-64 year olds in the United States from 2001-2018.The data indicate that the relationships are heterogeneous with larger mortality reductions for less educated non-Hispanic blacks than other races and mixed results at higher levels of schooling. We also investigate the causes of death associated with changes in overall mortality rates and identify key differences across race groups and education quartiles.Drug overdoses represent the single most important contributor to increased death rates for all groups, but the sizes of these effects vary sharply.Cardiovascular disease, cancer, and HIV are the most significant sources of mortality rate reductions, with the patterns again heterogeneous across sex, race, and educational attainment. These results suggest the limitations of focusing on all-cause mortality rates when attempting to determine the sources of positive and negative health shocks affecting population subgroups.Examining specific causes of death can provide a more nuanced understanding of these trends.

In the 1990s, the most exciting and controversial areas in physiology and metabolism of nutrition are those related to weight control and obesity in relation to food composition; alcohol metabolism and its effects on nutrition; fish oils; insulin resistance and atherogenesis; and growth hormone levels and body composition in the adult.

The aim of this paper is to (1) Determine the proportion of people that are uninsured by race and gender (2) Explain the differences in coverage between gender and race classifications. Data from the US Census Bureau showing health insurance coverage by race and gender for years 2013 and 2014 was analyzed and showed that a higher proportion of males compared to females were uninsured. In addition, Hispanic males and females had the highest proportion of the uninsured, closely followed by Blacks. Whites had the lowest proportion of uninsured people of any race.

Objective: To investigate the difference of liver metabolism function in healthy adult female at different ages. Methods: The saliva caffeine clearance(SCL) was determined by RP-HPLC method in 49 healthy adult females aged 18~34 years, 46 aged 35~50 and 18 aged 51~60 years. Results: The SCL of 18~34 year group was normal. There was significant difference between 18~34 year group and others(P0.001), significant difference was also found between 35~50 year group and 51~60 year group(P0.001). Conclusion: The SCL in female decreased with age and the liver metabolism function become lower.

Abstract The article presents data on the study of metabolism in calves two weeks before diarrhea at the age of 19-52 days of life. For this purpose, three groups of conditionally healthy animals of the Holstein breed were formed at the age of 19, 30, 52 days of life. To assess the metabolic status of young cattle, biochemical and general clinical blood tests were carried out. In the course of a laboratory blood test in young cattle, two weeks before disease manifestation, disorders of mineral and protein metabolism, a decrease in liver function were established. At the same time, with the increase in the age of the calves, the imbalance in protein metabolism was aggravated against the background of a change in diet and mineral metabolism improved as a result of the maturation of the digestive system.

Objectives. To examine mortality rates and quality of race reporting for multiple-race individuals in California using the new multiple-race data available on the death certificate. Methods. Death data were drawn from California vital statistics for 2000 and 2001. Denominator data were drawn from the 2000 census Modified Race Data Summary File. The authors calculated mortality rates and relative standard errors for multiple-race individuals as a whole and by county, and for the three largest reported multiple-race groups (African American and white, American Indian/Alaska Native and white, and Asian and white). Results. Decedents reported to be of more than one race were disproportionately young, Hispanic, male, and never-married. Age-adjusted mortality rates for multiple-race groups were approximately one-sixth as high as rates for single-race individuals. There was substantial variability in rates for multiple-race decedents according to county of residence. Conclusions. Mortality rates for multiple-race people were implausibly low, and death certificates for multiple-race individuals were geographically clustered. Race reporting on death certificates will need to be improved before accurate death rates can be calculated for those of multiple races.

Before the race, a middle long distance runner decides the tactics which he uses during the race according to the nature of the race , his own characteristics of training and so on. Generally, the tactics of the long -distance race contains; running ahead, following running and short frequent sprint.
